Oroluna puts the rose back center stage with such intense realism it feels like holding the flower in your hand. At first, that bloom is very energetic, with a citrus and balsamic halo that even smells like fresh, natural mint. Gradually, that freshness fades, becoming slightly powdery as it blends with geranium and woody notes, all accompanied by a powerful yet soft patchouli and a veil of incense that adds a smoky, ethereal touch. It’s a beautiful rose adorned with wood and smoke, executed with luxury. Over time, the floral fades to leave a warm, spiced, slightly smoky woody base with a lovely ethereal musk. Although I’m tired of rose perfumes lately, this one is so well-crafted that the flower feels original and modern, not forced, which I love. The performance is excellent; I get more than 10 hours on skin; the trail is strong at first, then moderate, but always present. I see it as ideal for fresh or mild weather, day or night, and it’s a perfect unisex scent, neither too feminine nor too masculine. But… 340€ for 50ml is a blatant rip-off. The perfume is spectacular and very original, but it’s still a rose scent, and there are thousands like this, so I don’t think it deserves that price. If you have extra cash and love it, go for it, it’s beautiful, but if it’s just curiosity, better try it in-store, because if you only want a sample, they’ll rip you off just like they did me.
