Absolute wave of 90s nostalgia. Smells like those guys from the future of the 2000s, like DKNY Men or Good Life by Davidoff, all with a distinct vibe but equally ‘cool’. I see it more as unisex, or even more masculine than feminine, breaking those gender clichés that can be absurd. It starts with a citrus that doesn’t quite convince me; I suspect it’s bergamot, but with green notes not listed on the pyramid that set the tone. Then comes a very delicate jasmine and the fig, which to me sounds more like fig leaf than fruit. It doesn’t bring back memories of my south, which is maritime, coastal, beach, salt, spring bergamot, incense from processions, and black Mission figs on the way to the sea, nothing of those bucolic landscapes. It’s another one from that era that passed with time… It’s not bad, but it doesn’t leave me indifferent. Medium trail and lasts about 6 hours.
I remember it like sleeping under a fig tree during an August siesta. I used it for a while and loved how long it lasted and that particular scent. I haven’t been able to find it anywhere since.
It’s a fig and Mediterranean fig leaf masterpiece, light yet with a nice trail and longevity. It’s pure magic from southern and eastern Spain, Greece, Israel, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy… the essence of the Mediterranean, the sea of culture and civilization.
