“Perfumery is one of the most authentic forms of communication”

Originally from Bologna, Italy, Margherita Carini has managed to transform her olfactory memories from childhood into a career dedicated to perfumery. She began her journey in this art with her anosmic father, learning to pay attention to the aromas around her. Her creative process starts with the idea of creating for others. “The profession of the perfumer is based on listening.” Her curiosity about the unknown and her love for the arts and travel feed her inspiration, allowing her to explore different cultures. Margherita sees perfumery as a form of authentic communication, “capable of evoking emotions and forging memories.” By capturing fleeting and memorable moments, she develops olfactory compositions that stand out for their brilliance and intensity.

She developed a passion for the arts and creation thanks to her family, which promotes creativity as a form of communication and expression, for oneself and for others. After studying History of the Arts and then Pharmacy, she left Italy to join the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles. Her career in the world of fragrances began at Symrise’s internal perfumery school, where she was able to fully explore her passion for raw materials, fragrances, and creation. In 2021 Margherita became a Junior Perfumer and now dedicates herself to creation. With Alienor Massenet as her mentor, she continues her path in the world of fragrances between Paris and Dubai. As a globetrotting, enthusiastic traveler and talented photographer, she keeps discovering the world with a “curious nose” and “open eyes.”

2015 – JOINS THE ISIPCA PERFUMERY SCHOOL

2018 – BEGINS A 3-YEAR JOURNEY OF CREATIVE AND HIGHLY TECHNICAL LEARNING AT SYMRISE PERFUMERY SCHOOL

2021 – INTEGRATES INTO SYMRISE AS FF JUNIOR PERFUMER IN PARIS

2023 – JOINS THE DUBAI TEAM AS PERFUMER
