Leslie Gauthier

“Choose a job you love and you’ll never have to work!” Following this maxim, Leslie Gauthier decided to become a perfumer. As a child, she was fascinated by her mother’s perfume bottles, as well as the scent of the Strawberry Shortcake doll. Later, as a chemistry student, she couldn’t imagine staying in a laboratory; instead, she dreamed of having eyes that would shine like those of her ceramicist sister. For that reason, she would create fragrances to evoke emotions and move people. After joining Symrise in 2011, this curious, enthusiastic, and open-minded personality has gone on to work in six fragrance creation centers around the world: Singapore, France, Spain, Germany, Mexico, and now Brazil, where she has been based since 2019.
