Perfumes de Joseph Erwin

Joseph Erwin was raised on a quarter horse ranch and cattle farm in Arkansas, where he developed a strong connection with nature. He spent his early years horseback riding, climbing trees, and cultivating a deep appreciation for the outdoors, while also developing a passion for reading. After enlisting in the U.S. Army, Joseph trained in laboratory sciences, giving him a solid foundation in precision, measurement, and chemistry. After his military service, Joseph’s interest in global cuisine led him to explore how spices and aromas from around the world could be blended. This sparked his curiosity about fragrances, and he began experimenting with natural botanicals, creating his own extracts and studying the use of aromatics in different cultures. After living abroad and gaining various experiences with fragrances and ingredients, Joseph returned to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he founded Onycha Fragrance Company. Today, he crafts every scent by hand in small batches, combining his scientific training with his passion for rare botanicals and fragrance creation.
