Claudine de Vogel
All of Claudine’s earliest memories are linked to fragrance; the Eau Imperiale that her grandfather sprayed onto his handkerchiefs, the scent of unlit Gitane cigarettes, the cold fireplace in the living room upstairs, and the classic geranium plants on the window ledge.
With family members working in the business, Claudine was fortunate to gain hands-on experience in the industry, completing three internships at Firmenich across various departments. Her desire to become a perfumer was encouraged by Firmenich Master Perfumer Annie Buzantian, and Claudine went on to study at the University of Plymouth to earn a degree in Business of Perfumery. After successfully completing an internship in Marketing at CPL Aromas and obtaining her degree, she started at CPL Aromas in 2002 as a trainee perfumer. Claudine was mentored by Christian Provenzano and Mike Parrott, and she has worked in the United Kingdom, Spain, and now resides in Germany as part of the CPL team.
Although Claudine loves everything fragrant, her work focuses on personal care, laundry, air care, and fine fragrance.
Claudine has a preference for olfactive areas that are light and airy, or for cologne-type aromas, but with a different touch—whether spiced, floral, or amber. The key ingredients Claudine likes to use are pepper, cardamom, magnolan, and bergamot.
