Chris Kumi

Chris Kumi is a Hungarian perfume creator. Before venturing into perfumery, Chris was a well-known figure in Hungary’s media industry, working with the country’s most important television networks to produce internationally recognized programs such as Big Brother, X-Factor and Power Couple. His contributions made him a prominent name in entertainment, although his passion for scents remained in the background. From a very young age, Chris was captivated by the art of perfumery, exploring fragrances as a personal hobby. This passion took a professional turn when he met Viktoria Minya, the most famous master perfumer in Hungary. Under her mentorship, Chris refined his craft and built a strong connection with the award-winning perfumist. In 2024, Chris founded Hungarykum Kft., his perfume company, and began creating aromas inspired by Hungarian heritage. By 2025, he launched Hungarykum by Chris Kumi, debuting with three fragrances that combine tradition with art. Each creation reflects Chris’s connection to Hungarian culture and his innovative approach to storytelling through scent. Chris Kumi’s work brings together his creative experience in the media with his passion for perfumery, resulting in evocative, culturally rich fragrances.
