Perfumes de Arnaud Poulain

Arnaud Poulain was born in Arras in 1986. He was raised in a family of artisans, in the countryside. His father was a metalworker, his uncle a carpenter, and his grandparents were farmers, who passed on to him the values of hard work and craftsmanship. In his adolescence, he was fascinated by science and studied mechanical engineering. In 2007, he discovered fragrances. It was love at first sniff. He began his formal training in Lens, where he learned the fundamentals of the perfumer profession. In his early lessons in olfaction, he realized he had a highly developed sense of smell. There he met Amélie Bourgeois, who became his mentor and still supports him today in the technical creation of his fragrances.

After a long experience in independent perfumery, he founded Les Eaux Primordiales in 2015. Hyperactive, curious, and demanding, he shows creativity without limits and does not hesitate to shake up established perfumery codes in order to offer unforgettable olfactory experiences.

A visionary artist, engineer, and lover of the land, he uses his multiple talents to shape his fragrances as authentic works of art. His inspiration is sparked by a current of awareness: memories from childhood or emotions in reaction to a work of art. The perfumer uses visual memory to bring his olfactory creations to life. Painting, photography, and the emotions they evoke constantly fuel his creativity. His ongoing pursuit of excellence and authenticity drives him in an endless process of innovation. This craftsman of dreams carries ambitious plans for the future of Les Eaux Primordiales.
