  • Exquisite fragrance, ideal for those who love Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanilla or L’Occitane’s Eau des Baux, even if you don’t know them. It comes out very green, with top-tier vetiver, tea, and grapefruit. The base has a dry, smoky vanilla, sweet and unisex. Cardamomo adds warmth. It reminds me of this house’s intense cologne, Myrrh & Tonka, but it’s not the same; it has a hint of it. It just needs a bit more myrrh in the pyramid. Wide trail but not invasive, very good longevity: about 6 hours on skin and much longer on clothes. It’s not weak. I love it, I see it as unisex, neutral, not 100% feminine. I’d need the 100ml bottle, but for now, the 50ml works well. It’s very rich!

  • It’s delicious, classic, and has personality, very soapy. It reminds me of the house’s Myrrh & Tonka: spiced vanilla with a marked green base. It’s linear, exquisite, and addictive, totally unisex. Moderate trail and lasts about 10 hours on the skin. Although I have it in my collection, I’m cheating: it was a Christmas gift for my partner, but I’m including it because if someone loves you, sharing this beauty is obvious. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 7.5/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • Catch me off guard: it smells different on the blotter than on the skin. In the bottle, it’s fresh, masculine vanilla; on the skin, it has two phases. At first, it smells like mentholated and sweet herbs, very green. As it dries down, a green vetiver with vanilla emerges, pleasant but not sweet, more like vanilla bean. Unlike others, it doesn’t smell like Myrrh & Tonka to me, which feels more resinous. Projects well for about 7 hours and lasts into the next day. It’s unisex, leaning masculine, for cold and mild weather, for any time and non-formal occasion. It’s not original, it sounds familiar, but it’s rich. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 5/10, Versatile: 8/10, Original: 5/10.

I understand people say it resembles Myrrh & Tonka, and to me, they’re siblings. It opens very green, with dry vetiver and calm cardamomo; the freshness seems to come from grapefruit, though I don’t smell it clearly, it’s more blended in. The vanilla adds creaminess and sweetness. I like it; it’s unisex and perfect for autumn and winter, but to me, it feels too invasive and not unique, sounding generic. I prefer its sibling. 7/10.

To me, it smells a lot like Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, like its light version: less sweet and less loud, but with the same trail. It’s not for everyone; it has notes that can sting sensitive noses, so you won’t go unnoticed. I wear it for casual outings; it adapts well to indoor spaces without being overpowering. Note: not for hot days. Good perfume, I recommend it.

This Jo Malone cologne has a trick up its sleeve: it manages to let freshness and warmth coexist without clashing. It smells like Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille but more refined—it swaps tobacco for vetiver and cloves for cardamomo, smoothing out the rough edges. At first, it’s crystal clear with that lively vetiver and cardamomo; then a fine vanilla emerges, turning into a bourbon-like, warm, and relaxing scent, while the vetiver dries down to gain an earthy touch. It stays fresh yet cozy. Lasts a long time, about 6-7 hours with a soft projection and up to 12 hours on the skin, and lingers on clothes for days. A precise and very special composition.
