I’m a Le Labo junkie, but I’m not convinced to spend on everything. I’m looking for scent, longevity, and projection—that elusive click that sometimes doesn’t happen even when the smell is great. But with Santal 33, Another 13, The Noir, Tonka, and Oud, I’ve found the three golden rules for investing. I absolutely love them and just picked up Tonka this Christmas. It’s a musk with a citrus twist, a hint of bergamot, and something creamy. The notes work perfectly without any one dominating. It’s a steal, 100% recommended.

I’m a huge Le Labo fan, but I’m not convinced to spend on everything. I’m looking for scent, longevity, and projection—that elusive click that sometimes doesn’t happen even when a fragrance smells great. However, with Santal 33, Another 13, The Noir, Tonka, and Oud, I’ve got the three golden rules for investing. I absolutely love them and just snagged the Tonka this Christmas. It’s a musk with a citrus twist, a hint of bergamot, and something creamy. The notes work perfectly without any one dominating. It’s a luxury fit for me, 100% recommended.

The first time you smell it without knowing anything, it’s interesting, like in my case. I knew I was expecting something super creamy like the Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. The opening is citrusy with musk and bergamot, very pleasant, but it left me craving that vanilla tonka bean I was hoping for. As it develops, the musk fades and the tonka bean rises, drying down into a blend of bergamot and tonka. Not as creamy as I wanted, but it didn’t disgust me. I prefer sticking with the Allure because it truly smells like tonka. It’s not as complex, easy to wear, perfect for the office, enjoyable, and not overpowering.
