The moment I smelled this fragrance, I fell in love at first sight. Theseus doesn’t project a huge sillage, but it lasts on the skin for hours. It has a fresh, slightly sweet scent—like a rainy day in the forest.
A great perfume by Lorenzo Villoresi, without a doubt, and one that could have served as inspiration for Eau Sauvage Parfum a year later. Theseus is like an Eau Sauvage Parfum but less citrusy and more dense, heavier. The vetiver combined with the flowers gives it a fougère and soapy character, yet of high quality and class; the ingredients feel more natural, though olfactorily the result is very similar. Just as Theseus, the hero and founder of Athens, this perfume is full of strength, vigor, and character, demanding to be worn with a certain elegance and attitude. Obviously, its name indicates it’s a very masculine, virile, and radiant fragrance, like a Greek hero. High performance, good sillage—it makes itself noticed without being intrusive. I absolutely loved it! Au revoir!

It’s strange that there are no conifers here; it smells like turpentine, but not just any turpentine—a distant, nostalgic one, like the corridors of Bellas Artes in Salamanca. Maybe the citrus is misleading me. P.S.: vetiver on skin usually smells like turpentine to me, so it’s curious that I sensed it on the blotter here.
