  • Sent courtesy of Krasnylips. The opening is powerful and boozy, tickling the nose; a genuine touch of orange and bergamot that gives a bite. Then come the flowers—carnations, roses, and geraniums—first spicy, then slathered in thick molasses. Benzoin and incense warm the blend, while oakmoss, resins, musks, and animal notes balance the sweetness with bitterness without harshness. It’s hard to define, dense, oily, and magnificently constructed. I’d rate it as fruity, floral, an oriental chypre on a honeyed and sensual base. Ideal for cold weather, night, and formal occasions. It plays in another league. Moderate-to-heavy sillage with about 10 hours of longevity; I wore it at 12:30 PM and it was still detectable this morning without reapplication. A classic that needs to be worn with knowledge. Related to Diva or Bal à Versailles, it’s more luminous and warmer than Tabu and Opium. Although they say it’s unisex, for me it’s very feminine due to its honeyed warmth. Very elegant, rich in nuances. It evokes soft silks, heavy taffetas, opulent gowns, and jewelry. An animal, musky, and honeyed accord that transports me to a room with honey candles, rumpled sheets, and velvet skin after a passionate night. P.S.: Krasnylips describes it magnificently on Fragrantica. Thanks for the experience.

All those fleeting scents of streets, fields, and furniture—the sweet and the sour—evoke memories as if past times were coming back to life with a forgotten force. Current standards don’t let you think; they wrap you in fog. Proposals like this cut through with their identity. Let’s not be slaves to mediocre offerings or prisoners of flankers. Teatro alla Scala by Krizia sums up sweet-floral notes and classic civet into a baroque, kind, and elegant sensuality. Honey, incense, flowers, and a radical earthy-mossy base are its protagonists. It’s eclectic, with delicious and sexy floral touches, almost a summary of the best of the 70s/80s. Family of Coco Chanel, Fendi Donna, and Magie Noir. Very feminine, seductive, yet with clear intensity. The lights go out and the magic begins at the Scala: an aldehydic fanfare, citrus, then rose, neroli, and jasmine competing in a floral chorus, finishing with a balsamic veil and a hint of incense. It’s worth kneeling for; full of beauty and impossible glamour not found today.

  • Pity I only have the oxidized miniature, but that honeyed accord with beeswax is magnificent and so well-orchestrated that it hasn’t been replicated. It rests on a powerful, rounded animal base of civet and benzoin. It’s a worthy 80s fragrance with a very original bottle.
