It smells like fresh blackberry gum, almost identical to the original, though with less of that burnt rubber note that made me reject the whole collection. I tried it out of curiosity, hoping it would be far enough away… it wasn’t. On the other hand, the performance for the price is on another level, gotta admit that. I’m giving up; the Pink Sugars just aren’t for me anymore, not even for the girl I was a decade ago.

  2. My husband loves the original Pink Sugars, so when I saw this version in the store, I didn’t hesitate for a second and bought it blind. What a delicious scent! The blackberries are more noticeable at the beginning than at the end. Once it dries down, it smells like the original but fruitier and without that burnt note—I love it. If you have your usual perfume, I say it’s worth trying too.

  4. Miireyaps

It’s basically the Pink Sugar without the burnt part, with less longevity and that sweet blackberry touch. I would have liked it to stray further from the traditional formula, especially after spending so much on it; I no longer use it with the same excitement I had at the start.

There isn’t much difference from the Pink Sugar, but it’s definitely more wearable for a summer afternoon. The longevity and performance are good for two sprays; a third one just wouldn’t hold up. That acidic blackberry note at the start is exquisite, but then it becomes strange and a bit heavy.

The first time I tried it, it reminded me of Trident blueberry gum, but upon wearing it, I see it’s very similar to Pink Sugar without that burnt sugar smell, replaced by a touch of blackberry. It doesn’t last as long as the original, but I still love it; it’s one of my favorites.

  8. It’s the classic Pink Sugar with a candied blackberry opening. I wish the DNA of the original was a bit softer. Still, it’s a great perfume—a super delicious and sweet scent that I absolutely love, just like its longevity.

A few things to note: this was a blind buy, which I don’t recommend, but sometimes in Mexico, there’s no other option. The scent is synthetic and plasticky, mixed with tart blueberries. At first, I didn’t like it much, but with continued wear, I started to appreciate it. If you didn’t like it at first, I recommend giving it more chances, but if not, just get rid of it. Even if they wanted to sell it back to me, I’d buy it again; it’s so delicious.

  10. Carmetta

To me, it smells like the original Pink Sugar with a very strong note of synthetic blackberry and car air freshener. A disappointment when buying blind.
