Areej Le Doré's Oud Luwak II is a woody oriental fragrance for men and women. This creation, signed by perfumer Russian Adam, was launched in 2025. Its olfactory pyramid unfolds with an intense combination of oud wood and coffee in the top notes. The heart reveals an exotic blend of algalia (civet), oud wood, labdanum, cinnamon leaf, tonka bean, and Indian nard. The base rests on notes of Indian oud, benzoin, vetiver, and cedar.

I’ve never smelled a coffee this literal—no lattes or cappuccinos, just roasted, dark, and dry with a touch of animal civet and fermentation. The coffee note lasts only about 10 minutes before giving way to a powdery musk with Papua New Guinea oud, woody and bitter, though that animal edge remains. By the next hour, it’s all frankincense and wood. At first, I thought it was too vintage and didn’t like it, but I kept applying it until I was hooked. It doesn’t project much since it uses natural ingredients, but if you love this style, projection doesn’t matter. Everyone says it evolves, so just have patience.
