  • Were you looking for a good, beautiful, and cheap Yves Saint Laurent Y EDT? Without a doubt, this is your best option. Here you’ll find that characteristic apple, incense, pineapple, and geranium from the aforementioned, a bit more linear, but come on, for the price you pay, it’s totally worth it. It also reminds me of Le Beau, but instead of coconut, we have apple. WARNING, it’s not the same; it just reminds me of it at times, however, it’s the twin sister of the Y EDT.

  • Definitely, same as the previous comment, it’s TOO similar to the YSL Y line, an excellent alternative to go straight blind if you like that fragrance. But WATCH OUT (and let this be an experiment to see if I’m not the only one noticing this): I realized that on some skin types, after about 20 minutes, that floral-aromatic-woody accord shifts down a different path, even resembling the classic CH (2015) by Carolina Herrera. A bit less sweet, of course, but it still resembles it a lot, at least on my skin with a temperature over 25°C; it turned into an 80% CH Woman 2015 / 20% YSL blend, making it more unisex. Said that, please try how it evolves on your skin to see if it just happens to me due to extreme pH or if I finally got COVID and my sense of smell is affected. Hahaha.

I was able to try it in-store recently, and it resembles my Y EDP a lot. I was surprised by its longevity; after a few hours, I could still smell that rich scent on the back of my hand, even after washing it, it was faintly noticeable. For its modest price, I think it’s a good buy if you can’t afford the original.

As I mentioned in my impressions of the Y eau de parfum, and since there was no profile for this London version yet, it’s practically identical in scent and longevity. The main difference is that, as expected, the Zara one feels more synthetic, less natural, with a higher alcohol intensity. Recommended to measure sprays at first to avoid overwhelming yourself. Floral and aromatic, nothing powdery or dusty, with a slight sweet base. I don’t see it as a blind buy, and there are Zaras everywhere to try it. Au revoir!

  • AlejandroArreguin

Very accurate to the DNA of the Y, with its respective changes, but it turned out quite good. 9 HOURS and it’s still present.

  • eliezerv63

99.9% identical in scent to the Y eau de toilette and the eau de parfum as well, BUT it leans more toward the toilette version. The smell is basically the same, but the YSL has better longevity and sillage. I loved this London Saville Row Mayfair from Zara so much I bought four bottles. Today I’m using the YSL eau de parfum, but this Zara one is the best inspiration; it’s very similar, especially to the YSL eau de toilette. Easy to wear daily as a signature scent. And let me tell you, it lasts long enough on clothes; the only downside is it doesn’t project much. 100 points for Zara, I’m sticking with this perfume. What a scent! CLEAN, FINE, SEXY, EVERYONE LOVES IT. Finally, the YSL in EDT and EDP versions smell the same. And obviously, you can tell the quality difference compared to this Zara one. Cheers!

Every time I pass Zara, I test four perfumes to find the best ones… There were four city scents today, and I tested them all… I checked the website to confirm if the reviews were true, tried this one, and indeed it has over 90% similarity to the YSL Y. The YSL costs about $90 in Mexico, while this one is only $16, six times less. It lasts about 3 hours with moderate projection, but for the price, it’s worth it to reapply with a decant. Should you buy blind at Zara? Absolutely! Perfect for summer and fall, it looks great.

  • Isaac Blanco

Not sure if it smells exactly like the Y EDT, but it’s a delight. Projects well at first, though it only lasted about 2 to 3 hours. The scent is great for the price. Update: it’s identical to the Y EDT but cheaper. Again: it’s the same as the Y EDT.

  • I love it. When I bought the pack I did it for Vancouver, but I definitely stick with London even though Vancouver lasts a tiny bit longer. It projects well for the first 3 hours. The scent comes back every so often, meaning it can pass an hour and suddenly start smelling again. Lasts on clothes for days. Recommend buying blind.

  • Pleasant to me. It’s a soft iris at the same time as fresh thanks to the mint. I practically don’t notice the sandalwood. It’s a very clean and refined scent. For me, it’s totally unisex. Very versatile, practically valid for any occasion. In cold temperatures it probably won’t shine as much.

  • Rich scent but super generic, I agree it resembles the “Y” by YSL, and that one resembles “Invictus” from which many other clones have emerged, coming from the family tree of “One Million.” Iris, violet, mint, sandalwood are the notes that project the most, making this fragrance a fresh scent that transforms into a warm talcum-like dry down. No surprise or novelty, it doesn’t offer a new olfactory experience. A perfume for young people looking for attractive and direct scents. Nothing too complicated, on the contrary, if you’re looking for compliments and a proven scent that pleases, this is the option. As a plus, it’s a fragrance like all Zara ones, at an accessible price.

  • You put this on and everyone will like it. You won’t stand out or get stared at, but be sure people will notice you. Anyway, for that price, 100% recommend the London by Zara. And yes, it seems disrespectful on YSL’s part that a $20 perfume is 99% similar to theirs, which costs four times more.

  • What a mess with these declared notes!!!! If this Zara perfume clones the Y EDT by YSL, which claims to have iris, where did they get that idea???? I have it in my closet, and from the YSL line I own the EAU FRAÎCHE and the EDP, and certainly LONDON SAVILLE ROW MAYFAIR has the DNA of the Y by YSL. What a joke!!!!

  • But what a wonderful fragrance, I’m impressed… the resemblance to the Y EDT by YSL is amazing! Delightful scent, fresh, smoky, citrus, total beauty… It lasts well about 4 hours and then with movement come bursts of this fascinating aroma… I’m not a fan of reapplying but with this treat I’m considering it a valid option… Greatly surprised. Highly recommend. Big points for Zara.

  • Well, honestly, I got it because of the reviews praising its similarity to the Y by YSL. Being familiar with the Y, I’d say the opening matches the EDP, that’s undeniable. The Y is superior in power, you can smell it from farther away. At 10 minutes, the Zara one shifts to an intense floral and less soapy scent, while the Y EDP stays more linear until the 2-hour mark, then intensifies the sweet apple with ambroxan. When dry, Zara gets closer to the EDT and leaves a nice trail. In quality, for less sensitive noses, it’s imperceptible. Decent longevity, between 5 and 6 hours being generous for an EDT. Worth saving the Y for special occasions, for the price we have a great option. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 6/10 Projection: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10 Value: 10/10 Blind Buy: 8/10 Versatility: 7/10 Season: Temperate climates.

Many talk about its resemblance to the Y by YSL, but it’s not quite that; when applied, it smells more like Diavolo by Antonio Banderas. It’s not a masterpiece, smells very synthetic like many dupes, I wouldn’t buy it again…

  • JesusValper

It’s an EDT but less citrusy; the iris note adds a plus that makes it very sexy. Many women have told me they prefer this over the Y EDT. At first I thought it didn’t last, but paying attention, I see it reaches 6 hours with good projection, you just need to apply a couple more sprays.

  • Bought it yesterday and at 6:49 PM today it’s still clinging strongly to my arm and forearm, right where I put my nose. The longevity surprised me; for $17.95, I’ve seen triple and quadruple the price on others that fade in 4 hours. Huge hit.

  • It has a slight resemblance to the YSL Y, but it takes its own path. I find it versatile, although not for hot weather; it can get heavy in the sun. It performs very well: 2 hours of projection at a meter, then it becomes intimate. The longevity ranges between 8 and 9 hours on my skin. For the price, it’s worth it.

  • London has menthol and iris notes; it’s close to the YSL Y but a bit sweeter and more synthetic. For the price, it’s worth trying. The longevity is quite good, and the projection is discrete but acceptable. If I had to rate it, I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10.

  • I just got it, and it’s clearly an intermediate between the YSL Y Edt and Y EDP, leaning more towards the Edt. It also resembles the YSL Y Live version but is less herbal. It’s very spring-like, ideal for casual occasions or the office. The longevity is moderate, around 5 hours; with double spraying, you get at most 6. For the price, it’s a good option.

  • I bought it as a gift for my father, and it smelled delicious on him. Although I’ve read that some find it synthetic, it’s not noticeable on his skin; it suits him perfectly and smells great. It’s very similar to the YSL Y, just a bit softer, but in the heat, the trail rises like foam. It’s not too informal, very versatile, and as a woman, I love it. Great price-to-quality balance.

  • Good, pretty, and cheap! It’s a YSL Y at a minimum price. Highly recommended for its versatility and performance.

  • It’s very close to the YSL Y Edt but at a lower price. It has good performance on my skin: with 5 sprays, it lasts about 8 hours on the skin and longer if applied to clothes.

  • I tried it in the store without much expectation. At first, from a distance, I sensed a metallic touch similar to Gucci Guilty, but after 20 minutes, I noticed a familiar aroma: the latest version of the YSL Y Edt. It’s 98% (or maybe 99%, though they wouldn’t believe me) similar. I even compared them at home, and they were very close, with only slight differences. What surprised me most was the longevity: being one of the cheapest, I thought it would fail, but even after washing my hands, it still smelled. The performance is spectacular and makes me think about using it instead of the YSL Y. I also tried Florence from the same line, which had terrible longevity, so this is the only one in the collection that performs well, as you know, Zara usually fades quickly.

  • Alonsoelcrack1234

Note: This perfume is NOT the same as the YSL Y; the scent is different. The YSL Y EDP is enchanting and I want to wear it all day, whereas this Zara version lacks that magic. It’s a good scent but not incredible. Better to go for a classic like Blue or Icon; they are safe bets and everyone will like them. In short, Zara is totally different from the Y. If you want to buy it for the price, test it first; buying blind could lead to disappointment. It smells more like Adolfo Dominguez’s Bamboo Water Men. The opening can be strong and aggressive at first. I don’t know if they changed the formula, but I bought the bottle new on April 27, 2023.

  • I went to Zara to try it out and ended up buying the VB and VB Bogoss pack. I absolutely love this cologne! At first, it smells a bit feminine, but over time it becomes more unisex. It lasted 6 hours on me, and I noticed it strongly for the first two hours; it’s one of the best performers from Zara. I’ll test it more thoroughly once the pack is finished, but for now, I recommend it.

  • Toñopuig

If you compare it to the whole line, it’s very close to the DNA, especially in the opening. It smells great and is more versatile than the original YSL, which can sometimes be overwhelming in hot weather.

  • As is well known, it’s very similar to YSL’s Y. It’s another Zara staple, with lasting longevity and a moderate trail; it more than delivers on performance. It’s a 4×4: it serves for everything and at any time. The Seoul-Lisbon-London triumvirate should rule any collection.

  • carloslainezd

Inspired by YSL’s Y EDT, very similar, just a tiny bit less sharp in the opening. The new 2023 bottle is more practical (fixed, ideal for a toiletry bag) and for the price it has in Spain at 11 euros, you can’t ask for more. You shower with it, put it on your clothes, and get good longevity. By the way, I don’t understand Fragrantica’s notes… Iris, sandalwood, mint? It’s pure ginger.

  • To me, this Zara perfume is the most blatant dupe of all time because it perfectly simulates the scent it’s inspired by (Yves Saint Laurent Y). It has no intention whatsoever to differentiate itself in the opening, heart, or base. It’s exactly the same perfume, just made with cheaper materials, which shows up in inferior performance. One of the best things Zara has.

  • Although it’s marketed for men, I feel it’s more for women 😂😂😂. It’s a pleasant aroma, but very intense and cloying; before it feels like sandalwood, it smells more like a liqueur. Women seem to like the scent, and I really think it suits them better. It’s super explosive in performance, but I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • This is a White Floral type fragrance, a bit synthetic, but on a man’s skin it looks spectacular. Although I see it as totally unisex. It’s very similar to YSL’s Y EDT, with Zara’s version being less fresh, more creamy, and linear. Good value-for-money perfume, rich scent, very versatile, and what surprises me most is its 6 to 7-hour longevity. Projection is just right but noticeable within your bubble; you enjoy it. Well done by Zara, a totally undervalued fragrance.

  • Another gem from Zara. Alongside For Him Red Edition, it’s one of the brand’s best. I’m not comparing it to YSL’s Y; I’m just saying it’s a fragrances with personality and easy to love—a compliment machine from the start. Just to be clear, by ‘gem’ I don’t expect Beast Mode performance, but a normal-performing scent: between 6 and 7 hours.

  • Antonio Tavera

For the 15 dollars it costs, it’s incredible. It’s a weird mix between Y EDT and EDP. It’s a blatant but well-executed copy, though it doesn’t quite reach YSL’s quality, but it delivers. Be careful using it in the heat because it becomes very overpowering. Scent: 8.5/10. Longevity: 9.5/10. Price: 10/10. Evolution: 6/10.

  • I tried about fifteen fragrances at Zara and ended up with this one, which I really liked in the store. When I tested it at home, I got a Déjà vu: it smells just like the ‘Y’ by Yves Saint Laurent. They’re about 90% identical. Since ‘Y’ is my favorite, this was the best of the 15. The downside is it doesn’t last as long; it’s like a very soft ‘Y’. But for 13 euros, you can’t ask for more, and it’s really well done… If you want the original ‘Y’ but much softer for a quarter of the price, London is the one to go for… An 8 out of 10.

  • Cocometal

This one is great! It feels like the freshest version of Y Le Parfum. It lasts on me—I bought the new batch and will have to keep testing it. I picked it up in Brazil since it’s no longer available here in Spain.
