To me, it’s pure luxury. Smells like lavender with honeyed tobacco and a touch of amber; it’s not complex, but the tobacco note is real, raw, and direct—nothing like synthetic musks or creaminess found in others. It has incredible depth and clarity, hard to find these days. I love the blend: just the right sweet spot without being sugary. Imagine Caron Pour Homme refined, with vanilla swapped out for that honeyed tobacco. It’s mature, linear, and has a retro vibe. Ten-hour longevity and trail. One of the best I’ve tried in years for the quality feel. Only for tobacco lovers; millennials probably won’t get it.
For me, it’s a masterpiece: a perfume with incredible quality that blends lavender, honeyed tobacco, and an amber touch. The notes aren’t overly complex, but be warned: here, the tobacco smells like real tobacco, not like Danone pudding as in Pure Havane. It lacks white musk, ambroxan, and that ultra-light synthetic tobacco that floats in Herod. The sharpness and depth of the notes are spectacular and hard to find these days. The best part is how the blend captivates me; it smells frankly great with just the right amount of sweetness without being a sweet perfume. It’s a raw note, nothing like the typical sweet tonka that many call tobacco. If you compare it, it’s like giving Caron Pour Homme a refined, high-quality twist by swapping vanilla for slightly honeyed tobacco. It’s mature, fairly linear, and has a certain retro vibe. Longevity and projection are excellent, among the best I’ve tried in years, especially regarding the sense of quality. Avoid if you don’t like tobacco or if you’re generally a millennial.
Lía, it didn’t quite win me over, though it’s not a bad scent. After reading so many expert reviews, I was expecting something more surprising or uniquely high-quality, but it just wasn’t that. Maybe my expectations were off. It’s fairly linear, mature, with a sweet amber touch that keeps it from being too dry, since the lavender is pasty and the cured tobacco adds weight. Overall, it’s dry and mature with a slight mossy, leathery edge, even a tiny fecal note. The longevity, however, is good.
