Super soft unisex scent, reminds me of celery.

My mom gave it to me and I wear it daily for workouts; perfect for spring/summer/fall, the citrus opening is energizing. The dry down is sweet but soft, not cloying. I recommend it for the gym, not for everyday wear.

Kaiak Vital is a summer scent. I’m a lover of sweet gourmands, but with 45-degree summers here, they’re not an option. I don’t like citrus, but this paired well with my skin, it’s wearable, not invasive, smells clean and soapy. Perfect for hot days, I get compliments and feel fresh. I recommend it, but not for special occasions.

It gave me an allergy and doesn’t smell fresh at all; it’s sweet, floral, and very soapy, reminding me of the discomfort of smelling pitanga preta. I do like the men’s version.

I almost bought it blindly, but luckily I could test it first. It starts citrusy and refreshing, but then it becomes dry, bitter, and sharp, taking over completely, so I didn’t like it. There’s a tiny bit of sweetness too, but it’s way too subtle and totally overshadowed. At times, it was so annoying I wanted to wash my skin, but I was traveling and had to put up with it all day lol.

I just tested a sample they gave me. The opening is nice, it’s citrusy and, as the name suggests, vital. I could even detect the peony note, which is one of my favorites, and it vaguely reminded me of Agua ‘Flor de Maça’. A few seconds later, things changed, and I detected a really nasty smell, like rotting. I suppose it’s the salt note I feel in its marine accords, as it’s the only note that could be unpleasant. It’s not bad per se, but that note just isn’t for me. I’d love if it kept evolving more from that youthful citrus opening. Good thing they gave me a sample and I didn’t buy it blindly.

I love it, just like its brother Aero, though I feel this one is a bit more feminine. I love that the citrus stands out more. Those marine, green, and citrus notes scream summer. It gave me the vibe of Davidoff’s Cool Water and Aero. I adore it. It doesn’t last long, but it’s so fresh that I don’t mind reapplying because I feel refreshed again. Divine.

It all started way back in 2006, haha, when I went crazy for Jesús del Pozo’s Halloween—it was everywhere (though I think they tweaked the formula since it doesn’t smell quite the same anymore). But once I sprayed it, even my sister walking right beside me said, ‘mmm, that smells bad.’ Phew, it was the Devastated Halloween reacting badly with my skin chemistry. Ever since then, I’ve been hunting for a fragrance with those traits that wouldn’t turn into a disaster on my skin: a crystal-clear floral with watery, fresh fruits. I tried Cool Water, but on my skin it ends up super spicy and peppery, nothing like what I wanted. I tried Kaiak Aventura with high hopes, first because I love men’s fragrances and second because the opening had that exact vibe. But once it dried down and settled, I didn’t like how it changed; it lost that fruity side and became too floral, so it didn’t work for me. So when I ordered a sample of Kaiak Vital, I tested it without really knowing what to expect. I hadn’t read or seen any reviews. Based on the bottle colors and the habit of associating colors with scents, I thought it might be something I’d like. But I loved it! It’s exactly what I was looking for. It opens with an intense accord of aquatic fruits, fresh with a tiny bit of spice. Completely revitalizing. I crossed my fingers that it would stay in that vibe and not fade away as the hours passed—and what a relief! Several hours later, I was still finding that fresh, watery fruity tone mixed with a soft floral talc and a bit warmer than the opening. Not a hint of that spicy sensation, a beautiful scent to associate with a mid-afternoon summer sky or those crisp mornings just before the heat kicks in. I love it! I don’t think it’s a groundbreaking innovation, no. I think it joins the great family of semi-90s/semi-2000s aquatic fruity fragrances. But I found something in it that I didn’t find in others, and it made my heart happy, perfumer lollll

I agree with the previous review; at first glance, it might seem unisex (probably due to the marine notes), but then it shifts toward a feminine side without losing the charm of the freshness and cleanliness it conveys, which I appreciated since I found other flankers too unisex. I loved this Kaiak; I tried it with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. While the marine notes stand out, it’s a harmonious fragrance that manages to convey summer without being overwhelming. It reminds me of Halloween but without that dark undertone found in Jesús del Pozo’s perfume, like a lighter version. Recommended if you like citrus, obviously.

Good presence of citrus notes, especially I feel the citrus leaves, like a crushed lemon or tangerine tree leaf. The salty marine notes combined with the freshness feel well-defined. More than aromatic on my skin, I feel it as quite green. I can also detect a very acidic pitanga that stands out, and although wood is listed in the pyramid, it’s not noticeable, which is better because I wouldn’t want it to be more woody. I’d say it’s unisex but leaning feminine. Fresh, summery, and very beachy with sand vibes. That said, it seems to have short longevity and a soft to moderate sillage.

It smells like egg whites, a super gross aroma. I don’t recommend it, not even for throwing away.
