Have you worn Louis XV 1722?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Totally unisex, but leans masculine. The opening is super citrusy with champagne, and as it dries on my skin, lavender takes over with an earthy touch. Then the fragrance settles, bringing out the incense and woody notes… For me, this isn’t it. I’m a girl, and I see this for an elegant, classy, well-groomed man.

I really wanted this, so badly—hoping for coffee, cocoa, hazelnut, lavender, a vintage vibe… but nope. The opening is an explosion of champagne, grapefruit, and a sweet plum note. A few minutes in, incense and patchouli kick in, but the grapefruit and champagne stay present throughout. The dry down, where I was disappointed, turns into something reminiscent of Micallef’s Red Colorado, so basically a more versatile interlude, at least on my skin.
