  1. Totally agree with those calling it a modern classic: it has that vintage vibe that doesn’t fit today’s users of sweet perfumes. Strangely, I don’t notice the listed notes, but rather an old-school herbal scent with magnificent longevity and trail. At its ridiculous price, it’s an excellent option and one to keep in mind. A beautiful proposal that will bring a smile to anyone who, with patience, tries to understand, imagine, and enjoy its nuances. Upon spraying, you feel the struggle between the classic and the contemporary in Imperial by Swiss Arabian. The secret lies in the perfect balance between citrus and spices embracing a woody and bright soul, turning it into something powerful and addictive. Its uniqueness comes from recreating an aroma that is both modern and ancient at once, with a rich amber that grants an enveloping persistence. If you dare to step out of your comfort zone, you’ll find a special, long-lasting perfume with an exuberant personality that you’ll love to wear every day. And at a laughable price for what it offers.

  4. We are Motörhead and we play Rock’n’Roll, just like their concerts started: a wall of sound, two chords, and run. Imperial smells like Chernobyl lavender and Fukushima pine, even though those notes aren’t listed on the card. It doesn’t smell like the 80s, but the 70s. It doesn’t evolve from application until it fades, but it stays very dignified; in my case, a solid six or seven hours without over-applying (4 sprays). A powerful, strong scent, classic to the bone. Some might find it ugly, but it’s strong and formal.

Here Swiss Arabian offers a very westernized perfume, aligned with classic Western tastes, with a slight Chanel Bleu EDP vibe. It’s monolithic and almost linear, but not boring, as its main thread is accompanied by nuances that avoid monotony. It’s a citrus-spiced amber resting on a subtle bed of woods. It’s executed like many 70s perfumes, but with a modern touch reminding us this isn’t a classic from back then, even though the fragrance resembles them. It has that masculine, classic, colloquially called ‘barbershop’ scent, maintained from start to finish, alternating citrus and spicy notes as it develops. The drydown keeps that barbershop vibe but with more wood presence. It’s a warm, classic, formal, and elegant aroma for a mature man with a classic cut, nothing youthful. Personally, it didn’t quite hit the spot since I prefer warm, resinous, and woody orientals, and here the amber is very classic; though I admit it smells great, just not for me. Coincidentally, my dad never likes my perfumes, yet he says this smells like heaven, haha. Performance is excellent, lasting on skin over 8 hours with intense projection at first, then moderate. Best for fresh or mild climates, usable in winter, fall, or spring, day or night, no issues. Ridiculous price for the quality and performance, highly recommended for those who like classic scents with a modern twist.
