Its olfactive pyramid begins with top notes of pineapple, orange, mint, honey, and ginger; the heart reveals a warm blend of coffee, chocolate, milk, liqueur, vanilla, and hazelnut; while the base settles on sandalwood, leather, ambergris, cedar, amber, musk, and patchouli.

Good morning, everyone. This fragrance is unique and perfect for cloudy days. It brings back memories of strolling down the street: pineapples, oranges, and tangerines for sale, a shop grinding coffee, then another selling cocoa and chocolate. In the end, all those scents stick to your clothes and linger on your skin. The perfumer captured those sensations and bottled them. Scent 9/10, trail 9/10, longevity 9/10. Excellent!
The perfect perfume, and it’s gone! It’s La Habana, a romantic and wonderful version. From its vices to its carefree positivism, everything is in harmony. It tells a story with a passionate evolution; every day is a different experience. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a wooden and leather tavern by the Malecón with the sea breeze. My friends and I order milk coffee, piña coladas, mojitos… we chat, we laugh, we’re happy. I’m fascinated by it as a woman, and it looks super sexy on a man! Ideal for any occasion, it’s a chameleon. You can tell, it flatters you, everyone loves it. And the longevity… pfff, as I tell my friends: a lifetime and three reincarnations!

It’s like a sister to Havana 500 but less milky and more affordable, shifting towards the sweetness of peach while leaving the mint of the original behind.
It’s a less lactonic and cheaper sibling of Havana 500, leaning more towards peach sweetness and moving away from the mint of the previous one.
A delicious fragrance that acts like a ‘flanker’ of the limited edition Havana 500 from the Taino collection (by Daniel Jossier), which Renier (in my opinion) improved and incorporated into the more accessible ‘Rain’ collection. The phrase ‘Asere que bola’ is an informal, street-style greeting like ‘what’s up’ or ‘que onda’, so Havana Rain ‘Asere que bola’ is another tribute by the artist to his native Cuba and neighborhood expressions. This composition starts with a fresh, almost anise-like mint note that transitions into milky coffee (a typical Cuban breakfast before the communist disaster), which is part of the Havana 500 DNA since they share those three notes, but this version is richer in notes. As it evolves, a bright, juicy pineapple appears, adding its fruity touch to the ensemble, which also has an ambered, barrel-aged, and slightly chocolatey note—a total delight with a gourmand point that keeps it fresh. Creamy sandalwood with vanilla and amber traces joins the mix; I see it as perfectly wearable year-round, though it will shine more during transition seasons like spring and autumn. In short, a delicious fragrance that moves away from the animalic notes and those recurring ouds from the house.

The three notes return but with more intensity here. As it evolves a bright juicy pineapple emerges with a fruity touch honey figs and a hint of chocolate—a delicious yet fresh gourmand note. And I’m happy because I’m a giant. I love a light-skinned woman who loves me without asking for anything… or almost nothing… which isn’t the same but feels equal. Havana is dark and cheerful at the same time. It has a solitary chocolate note that doesn’t turn into a monster like other fragrances when paired with praline, caramel, or tonka bean, but instead spends most of its time with liquor, coffee, and a citrus, green, and spicy touch. It takes you on a fictional trip to an old, dusty restaurant that serves good rum, while tropical sea air, warm yet breezy, drifts through the door. Terribly intense, it wrapped me in its cloud with just two sprays, trapping me and preventing me from smelling anything else for over five hours. Then it begins a descent, woody and barrel-like, with the aroma of the shyest cacao barely sweetened. The projection is kilometer-long; my coworkers smelled it from two meters away and complimented me, which was a strange and new sensation because I never look for that in a perfume, and I don’t even know if I’d want to hear it again… I’m shy. Thanks, Renier… it was worth every peso. The box, the painting it’s inspired by, the bottle, everything is an artistic and precious experience.
“And I’m happy because I’m a giant. I love a fair woman, whom I love and who loves me without asking for anything… or almost anything… which isn’t the same but is equal.” Havana is dark and cheerful at the same time. It has a solitary chocolate that doesn’t turn monstrous like other fragrances do when paired with praline, caramel, or tonka bean, but instead matures with liquor, coffee, and a citrus, green, and spicy touch. To my taste, it smells masculine: it keeps the essence of Naxos but with a darker, more manly vibe.
I’m not an expert, just a huge fan, and for me, it’s pure bliss. I enjoy every stage of its evolution.
