  • I don’t detect the bergamot citrus. It smells like sweet iris, bordering on cloying, but still quite pleasant. The performance is very poor, at least on my skin… you have to apply a lot for it to show up, beyond the initial burst which is potent. Based on the scent, I’d wear it in fall/winter, but unfortunately, it’s too weak to compete in places with heavy olfactory pollution.

  • Smells luxurious. Very similar to Ultra Male. Performs quite well in longevity and projection… I recommend it.

  • Pure class. It’s clear this is an almost identical copy of Ultra Male. It projects well and lasts all night; I definitely recommend it.

  • I stopped by Zara and tried this, then switched to Ultra Male; honestly, they’re almost identical—I can’t tell them apart. Maybe GL lasts a bit less, but with all the reformulations Puig has done to JPG, they end up lasting the same. The scent is very sweet, almost feminine. I wouldn’t wear it so sweet, but it smells great, festive, and has that ‘for women’ vibe. Works well in both winter and summer; it doesn’t get heavy in the heat.

  • The sweet iris dominates the fragrance, and I was blown away by the longevity; it was noticeable on my skin for over ten hours.

  • The sweet iris scent is very noticeable; I was pleasantly surprised by the longevity on my skin, lasting a bit more than 10 hours.

So similar to Ultra Male that when my girlfriend tried it, she asked if I’d worn it before. She had indeed tried Ultra Male once and preferred Gourmand Leather because the opening isn’t as intense as Ultra Male’s. Still, Gourmand isn’t as powerful or long-lasting. 8/10.

It’s so similar to Ultramale that my girlfriend asked if I’d already tried it; she tried it before and preferred this one because the opening isn’t as aggressive, although the performance and power aren’t the same. 8/10.

  • Sorry, brothers, but I don’t think it’s quite as similar to its predecessor, Ultra Male. I’m going to post a review on my YouTube channel noting that to my nose, it leans much closer to Armani’s Stronger with You. My goal is to open people’s minds and avoid the same conclusions everyone else is making. Best, Moy Olaf Fragancias.

Walking through Zara in my city and to my surprise, Gourmand Leather was back. I’d been seeing it rated ten for ages, so I bought it without hesitation. Half an hour after two sprays, the scent is incredible; it’s not exactly like Ultramale, but it’s a delight you need to smell every few minutes. The iris is very noticeable; I’ll be buying more bottles because Zara loves to take things off and put them back. Updated: I love the scent, sweet with that iris touch, but I was let down yesterday. I put more than ten sprays on my neck and clothes and it didn’t last more than two hours. Very disappointing; I expected more, even with the cold at 17 degrees.

Taking a stroll through my local Zara and to my surprise, Gourmand Leather had returned. I’d been watching YouTube channels raving about it as a 10/10 fragrance, so I bought it without hesitation. I’ve worn it for half an hour with just two sprays and I absolutely love the scent. It’s not quite the same as Ultra Male—I tried that once but can’t quite recall the smell now—but this one from Zara? Wow, what a delicious fragrance. It’s the type you need to sniff every few minutes; that iris note really stands out. I’ll definitely be buying more bottles. We all know how Zara works: they take it off and who knows when it’ll come back. Updated: regarding the scent, I love it—quite sweet with that iris—but I was let down last night. I sprayed more than 10 times on my neck and clothes, and it didn’t last more than 2 hours. Very disappointed there. It was cold, around 17 degrees, so it should have lasted longer than on a hot day, but nothing.

I managed to grab a bottle from that era when it was on sale for two days. It’s very similar to Jean Paul Gaultier’s Ultra Male… and it lasts a long time. The only downside is it smells sweet, and sometimes the opposite sex doesn’t like it; for that, I switch to Le Male Parfum. As for this one, it lasts me a long time—about 7 hours without issues—and I love the scent; it’s charming, though not identical to the original Le Male.

  • It’s a fragrance where a cloying, sickly-sweet iris rules, which scared me at first. Now I’m giving it a chance; time will tell, but for now, it feels intrusive. The good thing about perfumes is they’re like wine: you get used to them, even if not with all of them. It leaves a nice trail for a few hours and lasts 6-7 hours close to the skin. It’s good for iris fans; I’ll try it again, but for now, it doesn’t convince me.

  • This fragrance is all about the iris, and it’s so sweet that I almost hated it at first. Now I’m giving it a chance, but time will tell; for now, it hasn’t quite convinced me—it feels a bit intrusive. The good thing about perfumes is they’re like fine wine; you can get used to them, though not always. It leaves a nice trail for a couple of hours, and I can still smell it close to my skin for 6–7 hours. If you’re an iris fan, this is a good one. We’ll give it another try later. For now, it just isn’t clicking for me.

  • It’s a ridiculous clone of Valentino Uomo Intense. That iris note dominates so much that it becomes annoying. I like Givenchy Gentleman, Boisee, Dior Homme Intense, and JPG Le Male because they have iris, but Valentino just doesn’t cut it. By the way, I don’t see any resemblance to Ultra Male.

  • A floral leather from another world 🕉️. It’s a beast in longevity, perfect for any occasion and any person. 💯 X 💯, I recommend it 100% 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  • It was my first olfactory love during my crazy teenage years: ZARA HI-LOW COUNTRY. As I fell deeper into perfumes, I noticed it was a clone of Ultramale. That’s why I jumped on the Gourmand Leather; the moment I smelled it, I knew it was from the same family. It doesn’t match Ultramale or the original Hi Low Country—which remains the queen—but for the price, it smells and lasts incredibly well. What stands out is its citrusy, spicy opening, which gives it a slightly artificial iris touch. When it dries down, it leaves vanilla and a leather that you barely feel but smells divine. I wore it in high school and got tons of compliments; it’s worth every euro.
