I fell in love with this Escada at first sight. I bought it blind after reading great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. While the Fairy Love bottle is gorgeous, Desire Me is my undisputed queen. I’m a huge fan of gourmand and cold scents, so I always look for coffee in my perfumes. At first, I hesitated due to the citrus and green top notes, but on my skin the flowers soften and the coffee takes over, blending with chocolate and a creamy vanilla that reminds me of a caramel cappuccino. It’s a rare combo on paper but a masterpiece on skin. If you love coffee-vanilla, don’t hesitate—it’s my signature scent. I’d rate it 10/10 for its quality and longevity, which is hard to find these days.
Not as sweet as Incredible Me; here, the sweet notes are covered up by the florals. It has a very cool touch of bitter chocolate and a slight woody vibe, even though no woods are listed. As far as I know, it’s already discontinued and hard to find, which is a shame.
Olia is great—it’s like Incredible Me but with the coffee note much more accentuated.
I bought it blind hoping for that gourmet coffee shop aroma of a Monday morning. I expected a cappuccino with chocolate, but instead I stumbled upon something smelling of sweet coffee and chocolate, though overpowered by an excess of florals and citrus. I was looking for something more intense, like a cube of water, and this frustrates me with so many flowers, although it’s useful when I don’t know what to wear. It smells synthetic at first, but after three hours the flowers fade and leave creamy chocolate and vanilla. However, it has no sillage; it’s very intimate and doesn’t project. I wear it well in summer, pleasant but not intense. I like it more now than at first, but I feel it lacks more chocolate, coffee, sweetness, and projection overall.
I was disappointed when I tried it; I thought it would be something else but I was wrong. I like chocolate and coffee only for eating or drinking, and gourmand notes in perfumes aren’t my thing. If you like them: this is your perfume. Also, the longevity isn’t good at first and then it disappears completely.
