  1. Just like with Encounter, this scent existed before 2020 but under a different name. It was sold in a gray bottle with a hand-painted red label—pretty cheap. I didn’t get the fragrance wrong. The aroma was undesirably synthetic. The description lists lavender top notes, moss heart, and woody base. However, I distinctly remember a heavy cherry jelly or tutti frutti smell that was overly sweet, bitter, and cloying, quite dirty—maybe due to how the moss was treated (if it was actually there), and it lasted about five hours. It smelled like shampoo and left a damp trail that wasn’t pleasant at all. I always doubted it was for men because it smelled like a teenage girl’s body spray, except for a dark, contrasting skin scent beneath the candied sweetness. Far from being an aromatic fougere as described here, it behaved olfactorily like a fruity musk. What a weird thing! Honestly, discontinuing it doesn’t affect humanity or the perfumery community in the slightest.
