Maybe my opinion isn’t entirely objective, as I went to a niche perfumery looking for roses, and Radical Rose by Matière Première won me over before this one. Its rose is more acidic, sharp, and invasive, yet far more realistic. It reminds me of Arabic fragrances: a brutally realistic opening that later wraps into a creamy sandalwood trail with amber notes. The vetiver occasionally peeks through like a sneak, but its presence gets overshadowed by the bold rose. On my destructive skin, it wasn’t even worth mentioning as a rival. Moderate projection and average longevity, about 3 hours. I don’t think it’s worth the price.
Floral, bold yet delicate, and super feminine. The flowers blend beautifully, with rose taking the lead followed by saffron, but you can definitely smell all of them; I love how noticeable the lilac and violet are. The sandalwood gives it a creamy vibe. It lasted a good while on my skin and is already a favorite. P.S. After wearing it for a bit, I noticed an animalic touch a few hours in, like old leather, which isn’t listed. Maybe it’s just my perception, but I don’t like that dry-down; it’s very different from the lovely top and heart notes.
