Chapeau Bleu by Marina Picasso is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1994, this composition was created by Arturetto Landi. The top notes reveal a green and fruity atmosphere with brown boronia, osmanthus, peach, violet, bergamot, freesia, and mandarin. The floral heart unfolds with neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, orchid, rose, and lily of the valley. The base is warm and woody thanks to balsam of Peru, labdanum, musk, caramel, amber, sandalwood, and vanilla.

How do you describe this masterpiece? Besides coming in a divine bottle, it’s an intense and long-lasting fragrance recommended for women over 30. You can detect a touch of vanilla without it being cloying, though for my nose, the violet really stands out. If you can get your hands on it, it’s a perfume that every crazy collector should own. Just my humble opinion…
Totally agree with Agustínark. I picked this up in 1997 and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I gave the empty bottle to a friend who used it to decorate her home. I don’t regret giving it away, but I do regret not buying another one while it was still available. Yes, it was violets wrapped in a fabulous bottle, and the scent lasted 24 hours.
