I took a chance with a decant of this perfume because I’m a total sweet tooth, especially for that spicy vanilla that gives you a toothache. Since it was hot, I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised—I loved it and felt super comfortable all day. This will be my summer scent.

I tested it today right at the department store with high hopes, but I was let down. To me, it smells like the reformulated Acqua di Gioia, just more intense. What I notice most is lemon and jasmine. I get that there’s no mint since it’s not in the notes, but where are the red berries? Completely missing! Not worth it if you already own the Gioia, unless you’re specifically looking for more intensity, but the scent is essentially the same.

I stopped by the department store today to try it. It is indeed more intense than the last reformulation, but I still miss that mint/minty note from the original Gioia. For me, it’s not worth the purchase. There’s too much of that citrus that eventually makes my throat sting after wearing it for a while.
