Descripción

Musc Shamal by Giorgio Armani is an oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2019, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Julie Massé. Its opening features aldehydes and citrus notes that give way to a floral and musky heart where rose and jasmine intertwine, while the base reveals a warm and persistent blend of amber, vanilla, and cedar.

Brutal perfume, kilometer-long trail, and smells like pure distinction. It sticks to skin and clothes for up to a week. It has that vibe of its sibling Turquoise, evoking glamour and status. At 230 euros, every cent is worth it; it’s such a unique scent that it will surely leave you indifferent to no one, and few will have the same aroma. I tried it once and it’s already on my wishlist.

Well, this perfume works for me. It’s very well made, a perfect unisex: ideal for a guy or for a girl with a distinguished, masculine touch without going overboard. It’s not floral, fruity, sweet, or citrusy; it’s the type I love because I can’t classify it. What does it smell like? Exquisite musk. It comes out a bit mentholated, but dense, going up the nose, with aldehydes from start to finish. It dries a bit powdery, leaving a mix of musk, cedar, amber, and quite powdery vanilla. The vanilla isn’t sweet, just adds warmth. Projection is short, about a meter, but lasts 7 or 8 hours on skin. It could be your signature; it’s different and captivating. It seems illogical to spend so much on everyday wear, but more illogical is spending that on special occasions if you don’t wear it much.

Well… I like this perfume! It’s very well made, a perfect unisex scent for a man and also for a woman with a distinguished, masculine touch without making her smell masculine; it would give a girl something really interesting. It’s not floral, not fruity, not sweet, nor citrusy—it’s that type of perfume I love because I don’t know how to describe or classify it. What does it smell like? Musk. An exquisite musk, with a slightly mentholated opening, but a dense menthol, not fresh, that goes right up your nose, along with aldehydes present from start to finish. It dries a bit powdery, leaving on the skin an exquisite blend of musk, cedar, amber, and quite powdery vanilla. The vanilla isn’t sweet at all; it adds warmth but you don’t really smell it. The projection isn’t huge, about 1 meter, and lasts on skin for about 7 or 8 hours. It could easily be your signature fragrance; it’s different and captivating. It seems illogical to spend what a bottle of this costs for everyday wear, but if you think about it, it’s more illogical to spend that much on a fragrance you only wear on special occasions and don’t enjoy much because you rarely use it.

  • Smells clean, soapy, and creamy, like just out of the shower with a hydrating gel. The vanilla is noticeable, but not sweet—more like an addition to the soap. Is it worth paying this price for a soapy scent? It depends; in my case, an absolute yes. Usually, soapy scents overdo the musk and end up powdery; here there’s balance. It’s versatile, for any weather and season, with good longevity. It lasts through an office day without overwhelming desk mates. The downside is the price, though they often have sales since they know they’ve overpriced it.

  • Smells clean, soapy, and creamy, like just stepping out of the shower after rubbing on a gel that leaves skin super hydrated. The vanilla is noticeable, but not sweet—more like an addition to the soap itself. Is it worth paying this price for a soapy scent? It depends on everyone; in my case, an absolute yes. Usually, soapy perfumes overdo the musk and end up powdery, but not here; its value lies in the balance. It’s versatile, perfect for any weather or season, with great longevity. It held up well through an entire office day without overwhelming my desk mates, leaving just an intimate trail. The only downside is the price, though they often run sales since they know they’ve priced it a bit high.
