Mark Badgley and James Mischka founded Badgley Mischka on August 8, 1988. The firm started with fashion and expanded its offering to bridal, handbags, footwear, home and accessories. In 2001 it opened a store on Rodeo Drive and in 2016 Badgley Mischka LLC was created to manage the brand's intellectual property.
The first Badgley Mischka fragrance was launched in 2006. Then came projects such as Belle in 2013 and Jewel in 2017. The house's timeline also records collaborations with Escada, Mattel and various distribution partners, while the brand maintains its fashion collections and licensed products.
