About Viola Ametista
Viola Ametista Rumi: An Oriental Promise That Falls Flat
Viola Ametista Rumi by Rasasi, launched in 2025, aims to be an oriental unisex fragrance packed with fruits and spices. Unfortunately, the promising opening gives way to a flat development and disappointing performance.
The opening is sweet and fruity, with a juicy raspberry and a lychee that adds freshness, while bergamot provides a citrusy lift. This start hints at a complex evolution, but it quickly fades.
The heart blends spicy cardamom with the softness of orris root and a rose that tries to bring elegance. However, the mix feels synthetic and slightly metallic, lacking the expected harmony.
In the base, patchouli combines with leather and oud wood, creating a dark, woody foundation. But these accords are diffuse, with moderate projection that becomes a skin scent within a few hours.
Longevity is around 4 hours, and sillage is minimal. For an oriental, that's insufficient. Moreover, the balance is poor: the fruits dominate for too long and then vanish without transition.
Compared to other Rasasi releases, this one feels rushed and underpolished. The idea of combining sweet and spicy notes is good, but the execution fails.
In summary, Viola Ametista Rumi might appeal to those who like light scents, but it doesn't deliver as an oriental. Its price doesn't justify the perceived quality.
This fragrance is for those who prefer sweet, fruity aromas with a spicy twist but don't expect strong projection. It suits daily wear in cooler climates, though its performance may disappoint fans of intense orientals.
Despite good intentions, Viola Ametista Rumi lacks performance and complexity. The 1 out of 5 rating reflects the overall disappointment: a forgettable option not worth your money.
