I really appreciate the quality of this type of perfume, without that meaning I have to like or fall in love with it. Just like the other proposals from the house, one I love a lot and another blows my mind, this one lands in the middle. Very good composition, nothing stands out, it has its differentiating point, but that’s where it stops. A green, bright, and spicy opening that already has a sweet nuance from the start. As it develops, I sense a prominent woody note with a balsamic and aromatic accord. It’s very well done, but we’re talking about niche perfumes with their corresponding price… there’s no chemistry. It doesn’t last too long either, but I see it as very versatile and unisex. Less suitable for summer, but good for any other situation.
Woha Parfums’ Calahorra is a total discovery for my senses. From the very first moment, it captivated me. It’s not just a perfume that smells good; it’s one that you truly live with. The opening is luminous and vibrant, featuring a sparkling green mandarin wrapped in soft, spicy English pepper—nothing aggressive—along with a dry, elegant touch of papyrus that hints at real character. A few minutes in, it starts to unfold, and that’s where it really hooked me. The heart is very special: thyme brings a natural, almost Mediterranean aroma, while sugarcane introduces a subtle sweetness, not cloying, perfectly integrated. Sandalwood adds a warm, refined touch, making the fragrance feel enveloping, close, and deeply sensory. In the dry down, it explodes with a thousand sensations. The patchouli appears clean, neither earthy nor heavy, accompanied by copaiba balsam that offers a creamy, addictive softness. Cedar wood rounds out the composition with elegance, while hemlock adds a mysterious green nuance that gives it its own personality. Everything is perfectly balanced. I can feel every single note, something that doesn’t happen often with me. It evolves constantly on the skin without losing coherence, making it very interesting to wear for hours. It’s a real unisex scent: elegant yet approachable, modern without losing its classic soul. For me, it’s not just a fragrance; it’s a sensory experience I’m passionate about and return to with ease. It’s one of those perfumes that doesn’t overwhelm but also doesn’t go unnoticed; it simply accompanies and creates atmosphere.
