  • It absolutely turns me off; a former coworker used it without restraint, and the scent filled the entire space… Since then, whenever I smell it on someone, I’m hit again with that unbearable ‘olfactory claustrophobia’ sensation.

In my country, that Mercadona line doesn’t exist. I won’t deny that I’d love to try it. I’ve read in several posts that Mercadona releases fragrances identical to designer ones but at a much lower price. This is one of the perfumes recommended for its huge resemblance to DKNY’s Be Delicious. I suppose it must be good to have it.

  • As far as I know, they say it’s very similar to DKNY’s Be Delicious. The truth is, it smells quite good; in fact, my mother uses it from time to time. Given how affordable it is, I think it’s a great option for daily wear. The Mercadona fragrances aren’t bad at all.

Of course, it’s very similar to DKNY’s Be Delicious. It’s a pity it falls short in longevity and sillage, unlike the other Monogotas, but given the price and format, it’s ideal to carry around and reapply whenever you want. The Apple Monogotas is quite good and hasn’t disappointed me. However, there are others in this line that are much better; almost all are worth it (I was only disappointed by the Strawberry and Blackberry scents, which felt very artificial and alcoholic to me).

Taking advantage of my partner visiting family, I asked for the famous Monogotas. The apple one is indeed very similar to Be Delicious, but without that refreshing cucumber note. In my opinion, it’s totally worth it: it smells great, has moderate sillage, and makes me feel tender and youthful. The longevity is about 6 hours. I was pleasantly surprised; out of the entire Monogotas line, this is my second favorite.

Taking advantage of my partner’s family visit, I asked for the famous Monogotas, specifically the apple one. It is indeed very similar to Be Delicious but lacks the refreshing cucumber note. In my opinion, it’s totally worth it—very delicious, with a moderate sillage, making me feel tender and cheerful. The longevity is about 6 hours. I’ve been pleasantly surprised; this is my second favorite from the Monogotas line.

Very simple aroma, with a sweet-sour vibe. To me, it smells like apple gummy candy or apple room freshener. It gets tiring on me after just one spray.

I bought the original DKNY last summer in a 30ml bottle as a summer scent, and it shocked me so much that I kept drinking it straight… I switched to Monogotas looking for equivalents, and I have to say it’s super similar; someone not used to perfumes wouldn’t notice the difference. The issue is longevity… While the green apple makes you forget you’re wearing it, occasionally hitting you with a rich scent that reminds you, Monogotas disappears on my skin after about 3 hours. For the price, it’s a huge competitor to designer perfumes, and I don’t mind reapplying as long as I get the chance.

It’s a shame Fragrantica doesn’t include more Mercadona perfumes, because they don’t just have clones; they have very good fragrances, and they’re getting better and better. They’ve moved past the era when they only made clones. Specifically, Monogotas de Manzana is very similar to DKNY Be Delicious; I own both, and even I would have a hard time telling them apart on someone else. With other perfumes, the resemblance to famous ones is quite obvious. In recent years, Mercadona has changed its fragrance strategy, launching its own lines with heavy investment and producing excellent perfumes on par with the latest designer releases, since they collaborate with the world’s best perfumers and use the finest raw materials. These perfumers won’t risk their careers by cutting costs or releasing mediocre scents, and that’s not Mercadona’s intention either. To launch the My Soul line, they hired Philippe Paparella from Symrise, and My Soul for Her/Him was designed by Ilias Ermenidis from Firmenich. Another fragrance, Oud Noir Parfum Royal, is the creation of Quentin Bisch. But Mercadona doesn’t boast about its fragrances or its perfumers; it’s all a bit of a mystery. However, the obvious truth is that they’re increasingly releasing more modern, varied, original, and higher-quality fragrances that have nothing to envy from famous designer brands, all at prices that are more than affordable. I insist, it’s a shame they’re not in Fragrantica’s database.

What a shame that Fragantica doesn’t include more Mercadona perfumes; they’re no longer just selling clones, they’re releasing their own gems and getting better all the time. The era of cheap copies is behind them. The Monogotas Apple is almost identical to DKNY’s Be Delicious—I own both, and I’d struggle to tell them apart on someone else. In other cases, the similarity is obvious, but Mercadona has changed the game: they’re investing heavily in their own lines with top-tier perfumers and first-quality ingredients. These experts won’t ruin their reputation with mediocre stuff, and Mercadona isn’t looking for that either. The My Soul line was designed by Philippe Paparella and Ilias Ermenidis, while Oud Noir Parfum Royal is by Quentin Bisch, but the brand keeps a tight lid on this. The mystery of the creators is total, but the obvious truth is that their fragrances are modern, varied, original, and quality that rivals designer brands, all at ridiculous prices. I insist, it’s a pity they’re not in the database.

The good: it smells more expensive than it costs and actually looks like it, bottled in glass instead of plastic, unlike many body mists from brands that charge way more for almost the same thing. People often say Monogotas Apple is a clone of DKNY Be Delicious, and honestly, I have no idea if that’s true because I don’t remember ever trying that perfume. I do find a reasonable similarity to Victoria’s Secret’s Pear Glacé line, or what I remember of that pre-reformulation range; it’s not exact, but it fits that sweet-fruity aquatic profile. Plus, on my skin, it easily lasts over two hours, which is more than expected for a body mist. The bad: personally, it’s sweeter and more linear than I’d like, and it bores me a bit after a while of wearing it. I ended up giving it to my mom, who loves everything VS, and she agrees it resembles what they had many years ago. Obviously, this is just personal preference, so for anyone who likes sweet, soft perfumes but not too heavy for hot days, in my opinion, it’s worth trying in this Mercadona range.

  • This was my teenage perfume. As the name suggests, it smells like 🍏, fresh and light, perfect for everyday wear. It’s a clean, youthful scent, but to be honest, it doesn’t mean much to me anymore. It does its job as a daily fragrance, but for me, the best thing is the price. For the cost, its longevity and projection are acceptable, making it an economical and practical option for anyone looking for something fresh without spending much.

It was one of my teenage perfumes. As the name suggests, it smells like apple, fresh and light, perfect for everyday wear. It’s a pleasant, clean, and youthful scent, but to be honest, it doesn’t feel special to me anymore nowadays. It fulfills its function as a daily perfume, though for me, the best part is the price. For what it costs, its longevity and projection are quite acceptable, making it an economical and practical option for anyone looking for a fresh daily scent without spending much.
