Au Pink Flamingo is my first encounter with Marie Clapisson’s Fleur de Point line. Tomorrow I’ll try the other two fragrances from the set that arrived in my discovery box. Right after spraying, the cardamom is very prominent while the rose is barely noticeable. I don’t detect the coffee note yet, and I still can’t distinguish the labdanum. As it dries down, tobacco and cedar dominate with excellent projection. After two hours, the musk emerges along with a sweet amber touch. The tobacco blend is one of the best I’ve ever tried; I love that it doesn’t pair with vanilla, making it feel more original and avoiding the overused tobacco-vanilla combo (though I adore that combination too). The cedar is realistic and lingers until the very end. Overall, it’s a fresh and never boring scent. It smells dark and sensual, like a jazz club with wooden furniture, where you can smell the customers’ amber perfumes mixing with the pipe tobacco scent. It has moderate sillage and lasts over 7 hours on my skin. Scent: 7/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 8/10, Value: 7/10, Versatility: 7/10, Packaging: 7/10. Would I buy it again? Not yet, I haven’t purchased it.
