  Singular Oud is an interesting and unique take on oud. It follows in the footsteps of scents like Bois d’Oud by Perris Monte Carlo or Oud & Bergamot by Jo Malone, but with its own distinct identity. The oud is the star throughout, yet it’s approachable—leaning into its woody side without excessive fecal or animalic notes. It’s intense and smoky, but balanced with fresh facets. Perfect for those who usually aren’t fans of oud. The opening is fruity due to the fig, though subtle, as its creaminess gets overshadowed by the power of the oud and frankincense. The latter plays the supporting lead, adding smoky and balsamic character. As it dries down, musky notes and a touch of patchouli round out the blend. Personally, I loved it, with acceptable longevity, though perhaps a bit short for a perfume with ‘oud’ in the name; it lasts about 8 hours on skin. Subjectively, I enjoyed it, but don’t expect it to make a huge splash. I might have preferred more fig presence or something to highlight its fruity side. I see it as a daily or even office scent.
