The first Baruti I tried, Perverso, had a spectacular opening but a weird dry-down that didn’t convince me; over time, it just became indifferent. With this one, it’s the opposite: I tried it by chance without being drawn to the notes, and I loved it. It’s long-lasting, noticeable without being imposing, perfect for everyday wear. It’s bold but has a very pleasant fruity touch. What I smell most is that fruit, I guess plum. The base is very resinous, with sweet myrrh and bitter, smoky incense standing out. There’s wood, though I don’t detect oud. I see it as unisex, perfect for mild or cool days and casual situations. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7.5, Value for money: 5, Originality: 8, Versatility: 10, Overall: 8.5

My first Baruti was Perverso, that challenging scent that people either love or hate, but it definitely grabs attention. Berlin Im Winter left me speechless; I was expecting something else. It smells like a mix of resins and balms with a coffee note that just doesn’t work for me. It lacks character, and I can’t even detect the plum, which is what I should be smelling. The longevity is decent for cold weather, but I don’t see what it’s really for since the fragrance doesn’t say anything to me. Total disappointment.
