I stopped by L’Occitane at Sambil Margarita today looking for my out-of-stock Eau de Vétiver and tried this one on a whim. It’s very feminine, ideal for girls under 20, quite youthful, though a 30-year-old can wear it casually too. The vanilla and tonka bean just smell like vanilla (lol). The flowers aren’t well-distinguished except for the rose or geranium; the narcissus and jasmine smell almost identical. As the name suggests: Narcissus + Vanilla, with a delicate vanilla type like Molinard, nothing cloying. A key detail: unlike other fragrances from this brand that are short-lived, this one lasts. I applied it to my wrist, arrived home 30 minutes later, took a shower and ate lunch; 45 minutes have passed and the scent is still intact, as if just applied. It’s atypical for the brand. It doesn’t evolve; it smells like vanilla and narcissus from start to finish. I recommend it for young girls (under 30), vanilla lovers, and collectors.

The opening of this fragrance is very special; it smells like root beer. It’s not bad, but it’s a scent you wouldn’t expect in a perfume. After that initial phase, the vanilla emerges—subtle and charming. The best part is when it dries down: it smells like the 90s on my wrist, like Polly Pocket. A sweet, subtle vanilla.

  • Sweet and vanilla-forward. I should mention that I don’t detect the flowers listed, neither the narcissus nor the gardenia. One thing to highlight is that in its dry-down, it reminds me a lot of L’Occitane’s ‘Ambre’. It’s a warm and sensual perfume, perfect for evening wear.

What a delight—a blind buy that I absolutely fell in love with. It’s a succulent, linear fragrance with top-tier elegance. Smells like a beautiful, powdery narcissus mixed with fragrant vanilla and a very present tonka bean. The vanilla-narcissio duo creates a warm, opulent, and chic floral scent; sometimes it reminds me of vintage Shalimar. I love it without having planned to, and it has me hooked. The trail and longevity are moderate.
