A green bottle with a golf cap, few things but huge impact. Smells like 80s sports, dry, informal, and classy. It’s crisp, optimistic, and spring-like, like breezes filled with green and flowers. While some say it’s chypre due to the citrus, it’s pure fern—a formula trying to capture the scent of nature. Maybe it’s soft fern or coupé. If fern is nearly gone, then sporty fern doesn’t exist either, which is ironic because it would fit perfectly today or any era. Trophee de Lancome has that classic opening but then adds herbs and flowers to change things up. From the start, it’s mowed grass, a golf course, fresh greenery, full of nuances and shine, with that 80s jet-set vibe, lived dreams with intensity and a different way of feeling the world. I have the bottle with the golf cap. It’s an elegant, light citrus-floral, super unisex, with a soft trail and good longevity; smells very natural and is ideal for spring and summer. Not bad at all, I bought it blind at a great price. I love vintage scents and took the risk, but it hasn’t disappointed. It’s not worth spending a fortune on; it’s a proposal that, at the right price, deserves a spot in any collection without feeling out of place. The green herbs really stand out, in short, it feels elegant, another great example of the magic of past fragrances.
