About Tobacco Chocolat
Tobacco Chocolat by Tom Ford: Where Tobacco Meets Dark Chocolate
Tom Ford introduces Tobacco Chocolat, a new Oriental Vanilla fragrance designed for both men and women. Launched in 2026, it pairs tobacco with rich dark chocolate in a bold, modern composition.
The fragrance opens with orange and Akigalawood, moves into a heart of dark chocolate and cacao, and settles on a base of tobacco, Peru balsam, Ambrofix™, and patchouli.
Tobacco Chocolat belongs to the Oriental Vanilla family, a category known for blending edible sweetness with deeper, resinous tones. Its most distinctive accord is tobacco-cacao, supported by warm spices, a citrus spark, and a smooth balsamic underpinning.
The top notes are bright and slightly zesty, with orange and Akigalawood lending an airy, woody touch. This clean opening soon gives way to a much richer heart: dark chocolate and cacao deliver a bittersweet, almost gourmand intensity that feels inviting rather than cloying.
At the base, tobacco appears warm and supple, rounded out by Peru balsam, which brings a soft, resinous sweetness. Ambrofix™ extends the drydown with an amber-like, lightly musky texture, while patchouli anchors everything with an earthy nuance.
The effect is dense and slow-burning. Tobacco Chocolat evolves gradually, moving from bright citrus to deep chocolate and finally to a woody-balsamic finish. It feels most at home in cooler weather and after-dark occasions.
Early reception shows a rating of 3.89 out of 5, based on 65 ratings and two reviews. It’s a measured response, in line with a perfume that has a distinct, uncompromising personality.
This perfume will appeal to fans of sweet, smoky, and balsamic scents, especially those who love chocolate, tobacco, and resinous depth. It suits wearers looking for a statement oriental for evenings or colder months.
Tobacco Chocolat is a compelling addition to the Tom Ford lineup. It balances gourmand comfort with tobacco-driven sophistication, making it a great choice for confident noses, although its intensity may not win over everyone.

Today I wore this exquisite Tobacco Chocolat as an absolute first. It’s basically as if they took Tobacco Vanille, removed the vanilla, and replaced it with dark chocolate and orange peel. Around that core, coming and going, there are also floral and woody nuances, especially in the drydown. The prohibitive price will make it get a lot of hate, but it’s an incredible perfume.
Always akigalawood, always…
