What a shame that The Body Shop has discontinued Smoky Poppy. It’s a smoky scent with spiced woods, soapy and powdery, very similar to Opium but much more wearable. It feels elegant, mysterious, and almost formal, with a unisex vibe that’s still very feminine. I’m carefully using up my last 30ml bottle, which I bought cheap during a clearance sale, and I can’t believe such an amazing fragrance was discontinued without ever launching as a permanent staple. It’s perfect for work meetings, though I sometimes enjoy wearing it under the covers at home in winter. It can also be seductive, so I wouldn’t rule out wearing it on a date. The longevity is moderate, lasting about 5-6 hours on my skin with a moderate sillage. If they bring it back, I’d be over the moon. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 7/10, Sillage: 7/10, Value: 9/10, Versatility: 8/10, Packaging: 7/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
