Have you worn Shaghaf Pour Homme?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. Ugh, this isn’t for beginners into Arabic perfumery; it’s super potent, at least the 2021 batch. I’d recommend something gentler or more common, like a light version of Shurah. But at least it’s a beast: lasts on skin all day and on clothes for several days. You can tell the ingredients are high quality; it smells soapy, sweet, with a spicy kick. I wouldn’t wear it in summer or warm weather because it’s too heavy and not for daily use. In an office, it could be overwhelming. Just so you know, I don’t mean I dislike it—it blew my mind at first sniff—but it’s not for everyone, especially not for 20-year-olds. It’s a mature, slightly unisex scent. Scent: 9, Longevity: 10, Value: 10.

  2. Ugh, this isn’t for beginners in Arabic perfumery; it’s a powerhouse beast. My 2021 batch is super intense—I recommend something gentler or the light version of Shurah. It hits the next day on skin and lasts hard on clothes for several days. You can tell it’s quality; smells soapy, sweet, with a spicy kick. Don’t wear it in summer or the office; it can get cloying and overwhelming. Not for everyone, and definitely not for 20-year-olds; it’s a mature, unisex scent. Scent 9, Performance 10, Price 10.

  3. I bought it for the reviews and the price, and yes, it has the Shurah vibe but is fresher and less intense. The longevity is shorter, though maceration helps stretch it. What I miss is the rose, which is more prominent in Shurah; here, I notice very little rose and it’s more floral overall. Very original and full of personality. I liked it average at first, but with more applications, it starts becoming a favorite. Pretty unisex; my wife loves it. Ideal for heat or when you want a pleasant floral without drawing too much attention.

  4. For whatever reason, the rose note explodes on my skin and just doesn’t convince me.

  5. LUIS HEINSTEIN

A fragrance that’s better on women than men. Fruity aroma reminiscent of Pure Malt, but here in Shaghaf the fruits stand out, especially mango with rose, which is why it smells more feminine than masculine. Performance is very good with wide projection. If you’re looking for ultra-masculine ‘alpha male’ scents, this Shaghaf isn’t for you.

I was surprised by this fragrance; it’s very affordable and has good quality. It has marked fruity accords with an initial vanilla note that’s always present. The rose is in the base, and luckily the tonka bean isn’t too noticeable, which is a note I don’t like. It doesn’t last long, about 4 hours, projects a meter in the first two hours, and doesn’t leave much of a trail, but for the price, you can’t ask for more. Totally recommended.

Look, this just didn’t work for me. It smells like anything you’d find anywhere, super generic, and fades instantly. It was a blind buy and left me heartbroken, very disappointed and regretful. That said, the bottle looks pretty good, to be honest.

Honestly, I didn’t like it. Generic aroma and completely forgettable. It was a blind buy and turned out disappointing and regrettable. Although, to be honest, the bottle presentation is pretty decent.
