  Wow, what a wild ride. At first, I thought I’d made a mistake buying it blind; the opening is brutal, like I’d doused myself in liquid naphthalene. As that indcipherable potency fades, smoke emerges and it starts to remind me of Memo Paris’s Tigers Nest. After an hour, the powerful incense (like Loewe 7 but x4) takes over. By ninety minutes, it balances out with vanilla, amber, and sandalwood notes. The oud is very subtle, which helps the drydown stay balanced. Sillage and projection are moderate for the first two hours, leaving a sweet, warm personal bubble for about seven hours. It was a total olfactory experience; my hamster was shocked but recovered. It’s not an easy scent, but if you get it, it’s spectacular. I recommend testing it before buying. It’s ideal for open-minded minds, not for very young people who might not get it. I see it for fresh seasons and formal occasions. It’s a close-up scent, discreet yet persistent, noticeable when you’re near, with that mysterious touch I love.
