It’s a typical Arabic oud perfume, one of those that smell like aloe vera. If you don’t like oud, stay away from this. It’s not sour or dirty, but clean and projects strongly. Similar to Aseel, perhaps less floral. These scents are typical of Arabia; you don’t smell them around here, you have to get used to them. Personally, I don’t like it; it’s too unisex, it doesn’t lean male or female, and I don’t see any charm in it.
Review of the 6 ml roll-on oil. A hard-to-understand unisex fragrance; I only recommend buying blind because of the price. At first, it smells like tires… then wood, saffron, amber, rose, and animalic notes emerge. I still can’t decide if I like it or not, but it doesn’t seem easy to wear, and I’m not sure when to use it. Scent 2/10, longevity 10/10, sillage 10/10, value for money 10/10, versatility 2/10, packaging 2/10. Would I buy again? No.
6 ml roll-on. The triangular box says ‘Concentrated perfume – Free from alcohol’. It’s pink and oud, but at first it smells like gasoline and workshop fluids mixed with the flower; it lasts 10 minutes and doesn’t work. Less aggressive than Al Rehab’s Shaikhah. Then it shifts to a primordial forest, sunless corners, wild roses, full of life and death. Saat Safa evolves: a shady, damp forest of lichens and moss, dead leaves, conifers, tree trunks oozing resins and rotting under the frost. The rose remains, sometimes shrill, like an old, unrefined product; there’s just too much rose for me. The oud is there, if that’s that woody, dirty, rough, and sweet sensation at once, with an ambered, musky halo that cleanses. Saffron and lemony citrus in the background… The jasmine gets lost in the commotion. After half an hour, it calms down, revealing a friendly forest, with moss and lots of rose, resins, and green, as if the elves decided that today the forest is your friend and not a viper trap. It leaves a certain barbershop touch and the more time passes, the more floral it becomes. Lasts 8 hours, sillage close to the skin. I apply a little to avoid getting dizzy at the start. It’s dirt cheap like all Al Rehab. It has aggressive nuances that polish out in half an hour, then improves and has nice notes. Honestly, I don’t use it.
