  It’s a fairly friendly oud. I perceive it as a woody vanilla with a boozy touch; I don’t detect the rose, since I was expecting that famous oud-vanilla-rose combo, but it’s not there. It doesn’t smell floral, but it does have an aromatic touch. It’s extremely similar to Serge Lutens’ Un Bois Vanille, though that one is a bit sweeter and lasts longer. I think it’s perfect for unisex wear, with medium projection and lasting about 4-5 hours.

  I built up huge expectations for this perfume because I couldn’t stop reading reviews about a sublime vanilla… what a disappointment. It smells like vanilla or burnt sugar to me; in fact, it reminded me of a BBW body lotion with a coconut scent that smells exactly the same. The fragrance lasts for hours but becomes suffocating, doesn’t evolve, and only leaves behind a burnt sweet smell that eventually turns disgusting. The bottle is gorgeous, but that’s where it ends.

  Vanilla hits from the very first second, but it’s weightless. On my skin, it gains a subtle freshness, probably from those woody and earthy notes. It’s sweet and soft, but compared to other scents from the brand, I feel it falls short. When I saw OUD, I gathered my courage expecting something super intense and heavy (hoping for a more potent vanilla than the 28), but here it’s very soft and doesn’t stand out. It’s not a bad perfume, but on my skin, it simply doesn’t make a difference.
