I don’t know if it’s worth what it costs, that’s subjective, but that it’s a good fragrance, it is. An opening of a lot of pepper that hides the oud for a few seconds, but as soon as it settles on your skin, it starts to give way to a slightly animalic, funky oud that pairs excellently with a patchouli that’s not hippie at all, rather earthy. And you might think it’s a simple blend, but its merit lies in that simplicity. With a rather dry profile, but very versatile in my opinion, it works for any climate and occasion. I tried it as a decant and, for the price, I wouldn’t buy it. But I think it’s worth trying to get to know it. Edit: I got the DUA dupe and I dare say it’s a good alternative. Where I see the main difference is in the oud. While Zuhal has a lot of oud from start to finish (although it gradually decreases), in DUA the oud feels low in concentration, barely a touch. But the composition of peppers, cardamom and wood is practically the same. If you liked Zuhal, but you’re not such a fan of oud, the dupe is the option. If, like me, you’re an oud fan, maybe with the dupe plus an Indian or Cambodian oud attar you could do a pretty decent layering.

Opening and evolution, culminating in an excellent drydown. That combination of patchouli, oud and amber or resins, magnificent. It’s not beast mode, the oud is not unwearable, not fecal.
