Velvet Noir sounds glamorous and sensual, but it smells luminous: white flowers, ginger, mandarin, and omot at the start, then the oud and rose are very subtle, with a musky finish. I thought it would be dark and winter-like, but it’s better for autumn or spring. It sounds oriental yet bright, more like Sultan’s Summer Gardens. Nice for daily wear.
