It starts with a curious carrot note, with a vegetal touch. I detect spices, spicy and bitter elements. Then the iris and violet come out, dominating the heart until something sweet and a suede note, like Daimiris, enters at the end. The iris isn’t earthy like in Lutens, but more in the style of Dior Homme with a lipstick scent. It’s unisex, but leans feminine at the end. The performance isn’t bad, but it’s not among the best; it doesn’t last long. It works in any weather, even heat. I like it; it doesn’t smell synthetic and is good for the office or daily wear, but with so many perfumes I already own, it doesn’t convince me to buy it. It’s good, but it falls a rung below the brand’s greats like Kashnoir or Patchouliful.
Nirmal smells super elegant; I got a decant of it as a gift so I could try it out. It has the DNA of Dior Homme, but if it had a name, it would be Dior Femme. I absolutely love it on women, though it’s 100% unisex. The feminine touch comes from the lipstick note, but it’s executed really well.
