It smells like those honey and mint Halls cough drops—a really weird scent. Since it’s an oil, it doesn’t smell like anything at first because it’s greasy, but after 40 minutes, it explodes. Be careful, it’s not subtle because it’s quite invasive. I see this as a fragrance for men over 50 at elegant events in tuxedos, to give off that rich, wealthy guy vibe.
I picked this up while looking for something that matched my taste. I handed the shop guy a list of what I wear, and he brought over three bottles. The opening smells of herbs and citrus, but there’s a freshness underneath that I’m pretty sure is nutmeg. Then the florals come out, and once it settles on the skin, the wood, vetiver, and myrrh (that incense scent I love) blend in very subtly. I was worried about the amber since I hate it, but honestly, I didn’t notice it. Being an oil, it evolves differently on the skin: the absorption is softer and keeps a pleasant freshness even though oils usually smell warm. This slow, prolonged evolution makes it hard to understand, and the artisan’s description on the website is even more confusing.
I found this while looking for something similar to my taste. I asked the shop guy for a list of what I wear, and he brought over three bottles. The first note was familiar: herbs and citrus, with a subtle freshness in the background that smells like nutmeg. Then the florals emerge, followed by the wood, vetiver, and myrrh (that incense scent I adore), all very subtle. I was worried about the amber since I don’t like it, but honestly, I didn’t notice it. As an oil, it evolves differently on the skin: the absorption is smoother and maintains a pleasant freshness even though it should smell warm. This slow, prolonged evolution makes it complex to understand, and the artisan’s description on the website is even more complicated.
