  Every time I visit my parents’ house, I rummage through the drawers for those treasures from the past; you have to turn over the furniture to find fragrances from the era, and Molto Missoni is one of them. It’s an opulent floral, very sweet with a fruity touch, even though the pyramid says it’s just citrus—we know how that works. It smells rich and noble. Over time, the cinnamon takes center stage. The flowers dominate the composition, truly exuberant. Be warned, it’s not subtle: if you overdo it, it can cause headaches or nausea for more sensitive noses, as I detect an animalic note that rounds everything out. It reminds me of the typical city girl of the 90s, perfectly made up, elegant, and sensual, a magnet for stares compared to today’s crowd where almost everyone dresses the same. It’s a shame that touch of charm and glamour from back then is lost. I doubt Molto has a future nowadays, but if you catch it at a neighborhood perfume shop and aren’t afraid to radiate femininity in all directions, go for it. The bottle is gorgeous.
