  It’s a green scent that leaves you speechless—half fig tree, half laboratory. At first, it doesn’t tickle your nose; it smells purely chemical, like acetone or an empty clinic. The opening makes you hesitate, as if it’s daring to start an olfactory battle in the first few seconds. That uniqueness comes from the gorse, narcissus, and fig leaves clashing together to create something rough. The fig barely whispers, and the narcissus gets lost in that abstract backdrop. But here’s the key: once it starts to dry down, everything changes and becomes much more wearable. The chaos settles into soft, woody, and creamy notes thanks to the sandalwood and musk, with a dry ash touch from the amber and guaiac that brings calm after the storm. Maisia isn’t easy or accommodating, but if you can survive those first weird minutes, it will surprise you and make you want to reconsider. I don’t know if it makes me fall in love, but it definitely intrigues me. I don’t buy blind.
