Lucum Sour Extreme is my first perfume by Mauricio Carbajal and I adore it. After researching a lot, I discovered that lucuma, so delicious, had never touched perfumery, so I asked Mauricio if we could recreate it. I wanted to contrast it with my favorite drink, the Peruvian pisco sour, made with premium grape pisco. Mauricio sent me many samples and little by little we refined it until I was surprised; the memories it evokes are incredible, since with this native fruit many desserts are made in Peru. An expert like Mauricio managed to materialize an aroma I desired but didn’t know how to create. We’ve tested it with almost everyone and the acceptance has been huge, leaving many perplexed. The smell of lucuma and pisco sour at the opening is incredible, and after a few hours it yields to aged woods that give the sensation of opening an old cabinet full of liquors. Sensational. As a perfume enthusiast, I say this fragrance stands up to the great creations. I have many perfumes and it’s surprising what has been achieved. Bravo Mauricio!
A fragrance that surprised me, a divine fruity aroma with that citrusy alcoholic touch of pisco and a sweet note like panela, a delight. As a beast mode collector, let’s talk performance: it’s BRUTAL, over 10 hours on skin, heavy projection for the first 4-5 hours, then it stays on the skin for another 10 hours. Men and women will love it, especially if you appreciate sweetness. What surprised me most is the originality, believe me, you haven’t heard anything like this on the market. Definitely a gem of perfumery. Highly recommended to try without doubt. Rating 9/10.
Lucum Sour Extreme is a powerful fragrance by Mauricio Carbajal. It opens sweet and citrusy; you can taste the lucuma from the very first spray. The Pisco Sour note adds balance and freshness; although the lucuma is sweet, it’s not cloying, leaning more towards gourmand. Over time, the woods emerge, but the lucuma remains until the dry down. It’s an Eau de Parfum that easily lasts 10 hours, projecting heavily for the first 4-6. I recommend dosing it because it’s potent; 4 sprays fill a room. It’s a unique aroma thanks to the lucuma, it grabs attention and generates reactions. It has a cheerful spirit; a couple of sprays boost your mood and give you energy. Ideal for nights and cold days.

Lucum Sour Extreme by Mauricio Carbajal is a powerful fragrance that opens sweet and citrusy; from the first spray you notice the lucuma, while the pisco sour note balances and refreshes everything. Although the lucuma is sweet, it’s not cloying, it’s very close to a gourmand. Over time the woods emerge but the lucuma persists until the dry down. A citrus opening gives way to a Lucuma accompanied by Pisco Sour with woody touches, and that ever-present Lucuma makes it a very rich perfume, you must try it, vibes 🙌
I have the decant. It’s a masterpiece. It will definitely be my next purchase.
LUCUM SOUR EXTREME is my first fragrance by Mauricio Carbajal and I love it. After a lot of research, I found out that lucuma, so delicious, had never been used in perfumery, so I asked Mauricio if it was possible to recreate it. What an amazing scent, an incredible opening! That fruity touch of lucuma, a native Peruvian fruit, is creamy and stays with you all day. The lemon and pisco give it that special kick, pure Peruvian cocktail vibes, like a Pisco Sour. Then comes the cinnamon for the perfect sweetness, with hints of tobacco, leather, and woods that make it super pleasant. Powerful trail and world-class performance, huge congratulations.
Great perfume with a fruity and creamy opening from the lucuma, a native Peruvian fruit, that accompanies the entire life of the scent. The lemon and pisco give it that boozy touch of a purely Peruvian cocktail, the Pisco Sour. Then cinnamon appears for the perfect sweetness, with hints of tobacco, leather, and woods that make it very pleasant. The trail is powerful and its performance is excellent. Congratulations, what a scent!
It smells very similar to Acqua di Parma’s Mirra. You can detect the tobacco note. The quality is good, but it hasn’t surprised me. I’ll have to try it more.
I already own Tradition and decants of Mauricio Pour Homme and Litoral, and I love his knowledge and olfactory style, plus his commitment to Peruvian aromas. Thanks to Fragántica for discovering that a Lucuma and Pisco Sour perfume exists! I finally got it thanks to Guille Deals, and it’s incredible; it surpasses my expectations. It smells like joy, power, something totally different and super niche. Great quality and performance, a beast. 🤩 I just bought the 100ml and I’m already scared that one day it’ll run out 😅
What a pity it hasn’t reached Chile yet, because it’s by far the most organic perfume I’ve tried, surpassing others from YouTubers. A great bet by Mauricio Carvajal to recreate the scent of Lucuma. 100% Latino, 100% realistic quality in a bottle. The projection is above average, and the longevity on skin is as remarkable as Dior Homme Intense or Black Orchid. Given its structure, I’d wear it daily in winter, occasionally in autumn, and on cold spring nights. 10/10.
Lucum Sour Extreme: opens with Lucuma, somewhere between real fruit and synthetic snack flavors, nothing ultra-realistic or like in yogurts. The Pisco isn’t a dominant alcohol, just a light accompaniment to the Lucuma and lemon. The first two hours are fresh and citrusy, then woods take over, highlighting the natural woody character of the Lucuma. At four hours, a very subtle touch of tobacco adds warmth, without leather. Personal longevity is 18 hours with good initial projection, dropping to a personal bubble at seven hours and skin scent by eleven. Ideal year-round (avoiding extremes), perfect for casual outings, parties, or summer dates, but not for clubs or offices. Innovative scent, never heard before, though I’d prefer a warmer, gourmand version with a Lucuma dessert vibe. Enjoy this curious creation by Carbajal and Guille.
Lucum Sour Extreme kicks off straight with lucuma, a point just right between real fruit and dessert synthetic, nothing ultra-realistic but also not like yogurt. The Pisco Sour, despite the name, isn’t an aggressive alcohol but a light companion alongside the lemon; that citrus freshness reigns for up to two hours. Then, the woods take over, enhancing the natural woody side of the lucuma. At four hours, barely noticeable is a touch of tobacco that adds subtle warmth, with no leather at any point. In terms of longevity, with my pH, it has passed 18 hours and still going; strong projection for the first 2h30, then drops to a personal bubble at the seventh hour and skin scent by the eleventh. I see it for all year round, except extreme cold or heat: fresh for summer and sweet for winter. Ideal for informal events, parties, or summer evening dates, but not for nightclubs or closed offices. It’s innovative for being almost unique in integrating lucuma, although I would have preferred a warmer, gourmand version with vanilla or chocolate like a dessert. Guille might try again, but for now it’s a curious proposal that I encourage you to try.
Delicious citrus and alcoholic opening, bright Pisco and lemon that gives way to Lucuma and woods. A beast in terms of longevity, lasting over 24 hours with a unique scent.
Among Mauricio Carbajal’s perfumes, I rank this almost on par with Tradition, even higher. A unique olfactory proposal where the concept matches reality: it starts with a lemon and Pisco Sour alcohol opening, giving way to the star note, Lucuma. Imagine an aged barrel Lucuma Pisco Sour, with cinnamon, a touch of tobacco and leather that give it density and a fascinating evolution; the Lucuma is noticeable from start to finish. It’s intense, classy, and niche quality, perfect for night. Lasts over 10 hours with strong projection, pure beastmode. The downside is the biased and speculative marketing behind it. The price started between 250 and 300 soles, acceptable, but then the seller, Guille Scent Lover, changed the box and label (the bottle stayed the same) and claimed the ingredients were improved, when it’s the same perfume. Oh, surprise!, the price jumped 100% to 600 soles, fluctuating between 400 and 600 for no apparent reason. It seems Guille bases the price on the stock market or gold, taking advantage of the fact that Lucuma is the ‘gold of the Incas’ (sarcasm 😂). The perfume is good, no doubt, but don’t take advantage of consumers. It’s made in Peru, it’s not Dior or Chanel 😅.
A great perfume, very pleasant and distinctive. Niche quality at an accessible price. The opening is like a Pisco Sour; I can even detect a hint of Inka Kola, fresh and very nice. After 1-2 hours, a high-quality Lucuma note emerges in the dry down. I recommend it if you want to try something different and you like Lucuma!
If you love Lucuma, this is the perfume you’ve been waiting for; if you’ve never tried this Peruvian delight, it will blow your mind.
