Excellent perfume, very similar to Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather but softer. A great option for work meetings due to its sophisticated scent. The most noticeable notes are saffron, oud wood, and amber. It lasts 7 hours, with a 3-hour sillage, and the best part is that it has niche quality at designer prices, ranging from $50 to $80.

I just tried it and I don’t recognize the listed notes. The oud smells very synthetic and sweet; I expected more from this Mercedes. Better not to have bought it since my family member already has one. It seems like a waste of money if you’re looking for a strong oud with projection and exquisite scent; for that, the M7 by Yves Saint Laurent is the real deal.

  • Compared to the past, Mercedes has lost its car charisma; nowadays I’d only buy the B or C-Class. With fragrances, this one doesn’t convince me either, just like the previous ones I’ve tried. It has that synthetic aquatic note that turns me off, with mediocre longevity and projection for an EDP. It starts with bergamot, tangerine, and lots of pepper, then woods and resins come out, but everything smells very synthetic. It feels like a high-tech lab creation without a soul, mystery, or charm. I didn’t like it, and I think there are better options for the price (look at Ferrari or Bentley, for example).

  • I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews because this is an absolute gem: lots of wood, pepper, and bergamot, with a leather note that gives it a super elegant and masculine vibe. I wore it to work yesterday, and even with masks on, people kept asking what perfume I was wearing. It’s not invasive or has a huge sillage, but it’s very introverted and lasts forever on the skin; anyone who gets close notices it. Excellent choice from Mercedes Benz, with a gorgeous circular leather bottle. Highly recommended 💪👏

Fragrantica missed the leather note! The oud didn’t work for me either! They miss the mark so often sometimes!

Fragantica forgot the leather note! The oud didn’t work for me. They sometimes get it wrong, fierce as they are.

I bought the tester of this Mercedes Benz Le Parfum because I found it at a good price and took the risk to buy it blind ($30). I had high expectations based on comments saying it was similar to Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather. The opening is a bit alcoholic, and it’s hard to perceive the pepper and bergamot notes. However, other undeclared notes are noticeable: leather and incense blending with a very subtle, slightly sweet oud from the amber. It reminds me a lot of Issey Miyake Intense, but without that yuzu citrus note. As it dries, the bergamot disappears to give way to leather, saffron, and oud, always with a background of incense that adds a smoky touch. It’s the smell of your leather jacket the next day if you went out partying at a bar and sat in the smoking section. It’s not for blind buys, not for young people, and not for hot days. In summary, I expected more from this Le Parfum.

  • A friend who traveled bought it for me, and I tried it; I liked it quite a bit. It’s the kind of men’s perfume with leather accords that I enjoy. It has a fresh, ozonic opening that reminds me of Fahrenheit, something Mercedes has adopted as inspiration for this line. Then it ‘darkens’ with the woods and that leather sensation closer to suede or treated leather rather than rustic animal hide. The performance is adequate: it lasts about 7 hours and has a moderate trail with projection closer to the body, as is typical with eau de parfums. Worth it.

  • Mercedes Benz Le Parfum remotely reminds me of Tom Ford’s Ombré Leather, but much softer. The opening is the best part; as it dries, it keeps the pleasant leather scent and that smoky touch adds darkness. Although it recalls Ombré Leather, they are very different: the latter is powerful, wild, scandalous, and lucid, while Le Parfum is softer. It’s built intimately: it’s not a bomb to flood a room, but it performs well if you’re close to your partner. It’s extremely pleasant for those nearby and projects well. Its ideal use is on a date or at a restaurant. It’s an elegant scent. If you’re looking for something in the Ombré Leather line but less potent on leather and without spending much, it’s an excellent option. Scent: 8.0. Projection: moderate but noticeable for 2 hours. Longevity: lasts 8 hours on skin and I can smell it on clothes; projected well for the first 2 hours. Recommended.

The opening is the best; as it dries down, it keeps that pleasant leather scent and reveals a smoky touch that adds depth. Although it resembles TF, they aren’t the same: Ombré Leather is powerful, wild, and crisp, while this one is softer and more intimate. In my humble opinion, at first it reminded me of Acqua di Parma Leather Eau Concentrée (old bottle). It’s citrusy, smoky, floral, and in the dry down comes a very subtle but elegant leather. It seems like an alternative to leather fragrances like ACP Leather or Tom Ford Ombré Leather. The resemblance to Dior’s Fahrenheit lies in the citrus opening of the violet, almost smelling like solvent or gasoline.

Hi, I bought this fragrance by chance because I was looking for the Ferrari Leather Essence, which seems discontinued. Mercedes Le Parfum has been a very good option for me: it smells like leather with saffron, sometimes with a mentholated touch. It exudes elegance, and as they say, it “smells expensive” while being affordable and offering great value. I recommend it for being versatile, elegant, and cheap. The packaging is very beautiful, better than other more expensive perfumes.

Hello, I bought it by chance while looking for Ferrari Leather Essence, which seems discontinued. Mercedes Le Parfum has been a very good option for me. It smells like leather and saffron, sometimes with a mentholated vibe. It projects elegance and, as some say, ‘smells expensive’ while being affordable and offering great value. I recommend it as versatile, elegant, and economical. The packaging is very beautiful, better than others that are actually expensive.

Excellent quality in Mercedes Benz fragrances. This MBLP reminds me of the smell of a fur coat. Out of all the ones I own, it’s the one that lasts the longest on the skin (around 12 hours) and on clothes for several days. It’s a pleasant and versatile scent.

  • I’m surprised they don’t list leather in the pyramid because this is pure leather. It’s basically another clone of Tuscan Leather or Ombré Leather by Tom Ford. I can’t find the oud; I don’t sense it. On the plus side, it smells good, lasts, and is very affordable. Its evolution is weird: it starts as a Tuscan Leather clone, but after half an hour the leather disappears, leaving a refreshing but low-quality cucumber and lemon scent; I even smell raw egg when it dries. I don’t know where this is going. Not for dressing up or the beach. I guess it’s for going to the beach in formal wear, haha. Recommended? I don’t think so. Better to try it first, let it dry, and analyze the evolution.

  • It smells great and has quality, but it’s not for anyone under 25 or 30. It reminds me of its cousin Mercedes Intense and Fahrenheit. It doesn’t have much projection and doesn’t last long on skin (even though I have dry skin). I’m not sure if I’d buy it again when it runs out because it costs more than $30 here in Chile. For me, the best Mercedes is Club Black, then MB Grey, and third place is this Le Parfum, tied with Intense.

Le Parfum has become my favorite winter fragrance: strong, elegant, and full of presence. From the first moment, it smells like a mature man. Although Fragrantica doesn’t list leather in the pyramid, I can definitely smell it. It’s not aggressive or synthetic, but rather polished, sober, and rich, blending beautifully with the oud. This oud is elegant, dark, and adds an unpredictable nocturnal touch; it brings familiar memories but with its own character. The dry down is top-notch: the leather takes the lead, the violet joins in, the oud adds depth, and the amber seduces. It’s super fluid and transports me to an intimate place with dim lighting and dark leather sofas in an exclusive club. Its formal versatility is incredible: it goes with a suit or a leather jacket. It’s not commercially youthful, but sophisticated for men 25 and up thanks to that mature touch. Its dark warmth is perfect for the cold without being overwhelming. The trail is moderate; it lets people know you’re there without invading their space. It lasts about 8 hours, and I could still smell it on clothes the next day. It’s for the man who already knows who he is: adult, seductive, and made for the cold and the night. Little talk about this amazing perfume!
